cities were THE weakest point of RTW
the cities were the cause of a huge amount of cursing and reloading for me due to AI bugs or other stupidity
the new cities look larger physically and in detail and such, but smaller in actual walkable areas and roads
i do hope they've made it a priority
11G?
wtf?
what the hell can they even spend it on?
RTW had a lot of Useless videos that you could delete and never miss
perhaps here aswell?

I'm all for bigger and more epic battles but.. Quicker pace?? WTF?
If it's any quicker than RTW, which have horses with rockets up their arses, you won't be needing any time acceleration buttons, you'll be needing slowmotion buttons..

yeah...I sure hope they won't go even more towards action. Total War was fine the way it was in shogun and medieval.

Build through six levels of settlement ranging from humble villages to vast cities and wooden forts to mighty stone fortress. Develop your faction as a feudal aristocracy using you castles to keep the peasants in check whilst conquering your enemies with your powerful armies. Or build cities to develop a wealthy urban society, and battle your foes with diplomacy, bribery, assassination and armies of mercenaries. |
Bunch of arse. The best soldiers of the medieval period came from societies with limited or no feudal laws.

a "total realism" mod will probably surface for this one quite soon aswell
it was pretty much essential for rome aswell - with the original phalanx being made of laser beams or something and other ridiculous balance issues

Well you'll easily be able to mod that if you want. The cities, even if they won't be able to produce all the advanced units that the castles will be able to make, will still have basic barracks. So all you have to do is mod the city barracks to be able to produce all the units that the castles can make and you won't have any need for castles anymore. That's what i'm gonna do as soon as i get the game. I'll only use castles to defend my border provinces (since they'll still be able to have much better fortifications than cities) and make all my other provinces into cities, with all the benefits of castles (minus the kick ass fortifications).

German Amazon states that the game will be out the 10th of November, and whoever decides to pre-order it from them will get the Demo 2 days before the official release of it...the demo that is off course, you will be sent a password and a download link by e-mail. It don't state the date for the demo release however.

lol @ muppet. Medieval Europe society was subject to feudal laws.
The best soldiers came from rich states and religious societies like the teutonic knights. But even then they were subject to the medieval Europe and its feudal laws. Feudal period is more then only landlord <-> vassals its the entire economic / law system of that period in time.
