It is a good thing

I would like to se campaign in MP. Dont think it is in but would be very nice!

They have fixed the cites in this game and thats one of RTW weakest points.
Added eyecandy and some more moves for the troops.

I have HIGH expectations on this one Smile

cities were THE weakest point of RTW
the cities were the cause of a huge amount of cursing and reloading for me due to AI bugs or other stupidity
the new cities look larger physically and in detail and such, but smaller in actual walkable areas and roads
i do hope they've made it a priority

11G?
wtf?
what the hell can they even spend it on?
RTW had a lot of Useless videos that you could delete and never miss
perhaps here aswell?

I really want to play this.. Rome was nice but I like the medieval setting a lot better.
In rome I just missed knights and long swords Sad

I wonder if Shogun II: Total War will be next....yeah...and then they'll bring an addon which allows you to combine Shogun II and Medieval II !!!

THEY BETTER MAKE THE CAMPAIGN PLAYABLE IN MULTIPLAYER!!!! Twisted Evil Razz

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Bigger and better battles. Improved combat choreography, larger armies, quicker pace, and spectacular finishing moves make this the most visceral and exciting Total War ever.

I'm all for bigger and more epic battles but.. Quicker pace?? WTF?
If it's any quicker than RTW, which have horses with rockets up their arses, you won't be needing any time acceleration buttons, you'll be needing slowmotion buttons..

yeah...I sure hope they won't go even more towards action. Total War was fine the way it was in shogun and medieval.

Bunch of arse. The best soldiers of the medieval period came from societies with limited or no feudal laws.

a "total realism" mod will probably surface for this one quite soon aswell
it was pretty much essential for rome aswell - with the original phalanx being made of laser beams or something and other ridiculous balance issues

Well you'll easily be able to mod that if you want. The cities, even if they won't be able to produce all the advanced units that the castles will be able to make, will still have basic barracks. So all you have to do is mod the city barracks to be able to produce all the units that the castles can make and you won't have any need for castles anymore. That's what i'm gonna do as soon as i get the game. I'll only use castles to defend my border provinces (since they'll still be able to have much better fortifications than cities) and make all my other provinces into cities, with all the benefits of castles (minus the kick ass fortifications).

lol @ muppet. Medieval Europe society was subject to feudal laws.

The best soldiers came from rich states and religious societies like the teutonic knights. But even then they were subject to the medieval Europe and its feudal laws. Feudal period is more then only landlord <-> vassals its the entire economic / law system of that period in time.
