Ok I've played a little heres my mini pre-review
The game is played from third person perspective. You play with a suad of 4 soldiers. The controls will take a little getting used to because theres alot to work with. However in essence its played like a FPS...WSAD to move/strafe while the mouse looks. Space bar puts you in a first person view with iron sights (combination of sprites/models) which doesnt look bad at all. While your looking straight down your sights your vision is slightly blured...however if you look down at the ground your vision sharpens without having to switch back to third person. The second mouse button controls your squad. By holding it down you can right click on an area or item to make your squadmate move/pick it up/use/heal one another. Mouse wheel cycles through your squadmates (you can take control of any of them)
There are some RPG elements. In the training mission i was asked to bring a bottle of wine to someone who in turn gave me some grenades. When you finish a mission you earn points for your kills. You can upgrade
individual squadmembers stats like pistol, assault rifle, sniper, medic, boobytrab, etc.
As far as actual gameplay i can say its pretty fun so far. Ad your moving through the jungle your minimap will flash yellow in the area your being attacked from so its pretty easy to tell where the shots are coming. Your team will yell out crap and do a pretty good job on their own. Not once did someone get stuck on a wall or doorway or anything like that. Most of the time the charlies are pretty hard to see but many times they will go flying off ledges/down hills etc which is pretty satisfying. You can crouch and go prone...I found myself crouched most of the time and its not required to use your iron sights to hit anything, however most of the battles take place at mid to long range so its probibly a good idea to use them (you can also zoom in with your iron sights with the shift button)
The environments look good...very sharp textures that dont blur when you get too close. Trees/grass/shrubs look pretty good and convincing. However i cant say the same for the character models. Not on par with the environments...however they dont look bad...and its nice to see the charlies lying in a pool of their own blood when you walk up to grab ammo/guns from your kills.
Uhh..ok jeez this was longer then i thought it was going to be...these just my first impressions ....so far im enjoying it.
ps no multi

great another flamer that came from the orange site ??
and yes i think people care bout that stupid game......;and if u so much wanna praise flt to heaven then ya should all do that in scene related section of this forum....and keep the GAME section for game discussion .
PS : see how i stayd away from the kiddie language our dear friend mauro1970 used.....i never understood why people need to start swearing when they barely ever posted on this board and only come here
to start some flame war cause they cant win the flame wars on the orange site.

DITTO
I find this a better game/gameplay than Shellshock, that is fun too but the VC just keep coming and coming.

Is it my Windows installation that is messed up or is the installer that is stupid so It limits the install to the Windows drive? I got free space on all the drives except the Windows drive. It still complains about no space and I'm not able to change the install path, the installer just dies.
edit: The nfo says that the game requires 1gb on the hd but I got 1.5gb on the windows drive so something is very weird.

How much space do you have left on the Windows drive and do you have SP2 installed?

pretty average game in my opinion.
played to the 3rd level with you have to mark the viet cong entrance's with yellow smoke for a gunship to fire and block it.
probably worth playing through to see all those cool little movies after each level though!

Same here. Windows drive has 1GB free, other drive much more. And it gives me that not enough free space bs. Now that is lame. It makes me mad, I tell you! Want to break stuff.
