Again, the thing that bothers me...
If you are so certain the game is going to suck for you and you're not going to play it, please shut up and leave this topic, nobody gives a fuck about you.
Belive it or not, there are actually people who like the 'new' NFS series... if you don't, that's okay, just don't post here the same shit over again (this game sucks etc).
Thank you.

he's right
like it -> discuss
don't like it -> fuck off
at the end this is just a game for fuk sakes |
Nah, criticizing something is allright to a certain level, but coming in here, insulting those who like it, that's shit!

Game is going to be good. I'm almost 30 years old and now and again it is nice to play a bit of arcade. No other arcade game out there, beats the racing in NFS. The downhill drifting in Carbon is absolutely going to blow your mind. rFactor and GTR2 can take a lot out of a person when playing with the steering wheel.
Really looking forward to this. The wife should enjoy it as well. Cheers m8's and please take it easy man.

Anybody who have read a miniscule information about this game or seen a video of it would now. |
even so, i kinda liked underground 1&2 and most wanted even more, as it did tone down the stupid visual tuning stuff. And if you cut out the semi-stupid story, the races still where / are fun.

I too like the nfs series! It has always been an arcade racer, okay maybe not porsche unleashed, but the others have. And for all the people whining about it being crap console arcade game, just dont play it, the current series arent suppose to be about realism, and honestly its more fun on the consoles (just like figthing games).

512 might be enough but 1 gig of ram would be better.

Hm... I think a 1GB is the recommended minimum for gaming today, especially with Vista poking around the corner...
I remember I couldn't run NFSU2 properly with 512MB, so let alone Carbon.

Vista will need at least 2gigs to run smoothly
Carbon 1 gig recomended,with 512mb probably playable on medium/low 800*600

Uh. I could swear RAM mostly influences loading times. 800*600 because of too little ram is stupid in my opinion, get a better graphics card with 256 or even 512 ram and you are gonna be fine even on 1280*1024.

well it will use your virtual memory then,MW used 400mb,vram will be slower so expect slowdowns, loading also depends on speed of ram,if u can afford 512mb vcard wich will cost new one at least 150euro wich is completely useless with 128bit,then u can spend exta 50-70 on extra ram, aslo depends on your ram price etc.
in anyways 512mb is not enough to play new games & operate winxp, unless u using '98
at the end it all comes down to how game engine is optimized,we all know how MW was optimized.so pray for better perfomance due to night

Higher resolution doesnt have shit to do with how much RAM you got.
The textures/models/sounds/crap are always the same size and gets loaded at the same intervals regardless of the resolution. Doh!
RAM = loading times, doing stuff simultaneously without the comp having to re-load shit, and having more space to stream ingame stuff to eliminate stutters.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 RAM: 4gb Kingmax DDR2 800mhz Video: Asus GeForce 250GTS 1gb Sound: Asus Xonar.

Yeah but hey =D
Yeah! The tuningbullshit is fucking with great skill! ^_^
And for the record, vista runs smooth as silk since the latest updates, even with just 1gb ram.

It is expected it will run even better in the next few builds just before RTM. But it still has more RAM requirements because of all the running processes.
[EDIT] Reading your specs... WTF are you complaining? You have 2GB of RAM. Jeez, I wonder why...
