I just got a dvdburner and was looking to encode avi's and put them on dvdr, my question is realistically at a decent bit rate how many avi's could I get on the dvd for watching on a dvdplayer?
6 but remember only computers and divx dvd players can read the avi's not reg stand alone dvd players. Also 6 is considering each movie is 1 cd typcially they arn't so expect about 3 or 4
two movies is about right for each dvd,
Tools you will need are cucusoft to encode each avi file very easy to use,
Then you will need isoedit to make the vob files for you,
Warning cucusoft can take 6 or more hours to encode each file,
if you want to speed things up try to find out if your dvd player can play svcd files if it can encode to svcd format its faster
and if you want to make some menus also take alook at dvd-lab
