Pretty stupid question for some people, but which cable actually gives the best quality for the Ps2?

I use rgb. and the picture is wank.. however this could be (or very likely is) due to 2 things.

1. my tele is 4-5 yrs old.. not one of thes fancy new ones.. but hey it works.. so i feel no need to buy a new one, considering i never watch tv.. (only dvds and those rarely) and only have it and the related peripherals for my sons sake.


2. i have multiple crap pluggedinto the tele..

Xbox
Ps2
Dvd recorder
divx/DVD player
cable box

so its no wonder the picture is fooked up Smile

well on my 21 crt sdtv rgb is far far better picture than svhs.... its bound to be... svhs is far superior than composite but rgb should win out everytime on sdtv... it should be the same for lcd screens aswell....i will let you know when my lcd arrives next month

make sure your tv has proper rgb scart though.... a lot of people asume that scart=rgb but it isnt. if your using a switch box make sure this is full rgb switch aswell and any interconnecting scart cables must be full rgb. if any arent full rgb then all you will get is composite

i have xbox, xbox360, ps2 & gamecube with rgb cables into a btech rgb switch box into a freeview box with rgb passthrough into rgb scart on the tv. great picture quality, better than svhs and much much better than composite, crisper images, less colour bleed on high contrast colours, very little interference.

Well, i have a fucking HDTV, which fucking cable should i use to get 480P in games like God of War and Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria ? RGB or bullfucking Composite ? Suck my cock there are many fucking cables out there...

use rgb not composhite

Fucker, you need a fucking component (aga RGB but that's not technically correct bitch) cable to even fucking think about progressive fucking scan, and your piece of shit PS2 has to be a at least a v9, or SCPH-5xxxx series motherfucker. Fuck!
