Yeah, that's what it's supposed to be but atm it's so freaking full of bugs that you can't play it properly. Even with the patch it's rather unplayable. That f*cking patch solves as many bugs as it puts in the game.if you understand german read the official jowood board. it's full of whining people.
so my advice for people who are really interested in this game is to wait until there's a patch (or a bunch of patches, like there were for the prequel) that makes the game at least playable.

people like to blame it on the developers but eventually it's not really their fault, it's the publisher pressing on them to keep the release date.
To be honest the developers got my pity - there's one, of a really few, original game ideas from germany (yeah, might sound a bit patriotic, nationalistic, whatever, but i don't care) and they're forced to release it buggy and unfinished. i mean, all of the responsible people had to knew it wasn't ready to be released (a patch on the release day to fix 400 bugs? come on). and now, that the pos is released the developers are under even more pressure to release patches as fast as they can to fix the heaviest bugs that the community is complaining about, that's fucked up if you ask me.

I knew JoWood would release another unfinished game, they do it every time. This would be an excellent game but most people will never know because its been released full of bugs.
Gothic 3 will probably be more of the same unfortunately

gothic 3 was finished 2 months ago ... according to mu sources in polish publishers they got FINAL version ( for language localizing ) in mid of august.
it was boxed retail version ....
Jo wood didnt want to release it earlier for some stupid reasons - maybe the work on patch ? |
Fallout 3 has been finished since january aswell, a guy in norway told me, he spoke norwegian and I couldn't understand him but i'm sure thats what he said.
The developers of gothic 3 have already explained the situation to us, if you care to look in the gothic 3 thread instead of spreading devious rumours.

Reg67 wrote: | Yeah Publishers do 'coerce' Devs into an early release, mainly due to monetary reasons.
its totally flawed however because people buy a product that is riddled with bugs and essentially unplayable.
the majority of people will look at the box, see the name of the publisher and henceforth steer clear of games from that publisher. They may blame the source (Devs) but most are unaware or simply dont care.. and the publisher (quite rightly in most cases) gets it in the neck
As to German games - the ones i can think of are fantastic! they usually break the mould of boring, repetitive games the market is flooded with.
A few german produced games i can think of - correct me if im wrong
Look at the quality of these products
Spellforce I
Spellforce II
All the Setlers games
Gothic I
Gothic II
Gothic III
The Guild I = II
Im sure there are others, but these ones ive actually bought (or am going to buy on release) .. and lets face it not many here actually purchase games |
come one dude and where the fuck is Battle Isle I , II , III , IV + Incubation and History Line: 1914-1918

A.) Graphics cards compatibility
=======================================================================
During it's production "The Guild 2" was tested with the following
graphics cards:
- NVIDIA GeForce 6600
- NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200
- NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4800 SE
- RADEON X600 PRO
- RADEON X800 Series
- RADEON 8500
|
WTF? How many systems did they test on?! Six? That's just retarded.
