how long does it usually take for ea games to be leaked? Id guess their faster than most? Id like to play it even before its in the shops even though Id buy it unless the first reviews are crap. I dont think this qu is against the rules, Im not asking for a downlaod source or anything.

Yeah and the DNA aspect of the game looks to be awsome too, lets mix some humans and destroy their childhood.
I will try to have a fat lazy bastard laying on the couch while his wife does all the hard work lol

Hah. I just saw and Sims 2 add on a bus yesterday, "The sims 2 coming out 17/9". I'm really interested in seeing my sims getting abducted. It looked really cool in the trailer.

"· The first Sims 2 Expansion should be released early into the New Year. "

My god they already started on expansion 1 of 10.

Looks like I'll be downloading the 4 CD version Sad. Was too lazy to get my sister's DVD burner while she was here and now she back at college.

"· Sims will be able to recognize family relationships and will not be able to marry siblings. Marrying cousins is a gray area. Not sure yet whether or not you can. "

Damn. I was gonna fuck up my sims by having them marry one of their relatives. Now I gotta figure out another way to screw them up.

It's odd that I see that they say it will be in stores the 17th (a Friday here too which is rare for a game) while sites like ebgames.com and gamestop.com say that they're shipping it 9/14.

The week of 9/14 is gonna be a fun week. Sims 2, Fable, Shellshock NAM, Call of Duty: United Offensive Very Happy. Bad news is....second week of school Crying or Very sad but at least I have the 16th off Smile

Does anyone know if they are going to use that irritating gobble-dee-gook language they used in the first sims? surely they are going to use real text and speech this time...

It has nothing to do with different countries. It has everything to do with the fact that no matter what, you'd hear the exact same thing over and over. What do you expect them to record? "Do you like candy?", plus would you even wana hear that about 20 times in an hour? Hell when I played Sims 1, I noticed that they were saying the exact same thing they said 3 minutes ago and that's in a language that does not even exist!...

Anyways, to answer the original question, the devs confirmed in an interview that they're keeping the "Sim Language".

Ok so you want these developers to spend all this time creating thousands of lines (and in different voices) for these Sims in their OWN sim world. Then after a little bit of playing the game the lines will repeat. It's a whole different world! It isn't USA or the world. The Sims live in their own little place. They have a different language.

But really if you're skipping the game JUST because they speak gibberish that's really stupid.

I don't give a shit what the fuck they say. They're video game people!!

YES i did expect the the dev's to put real speech/text in Sims 2. With the $$ they made out of the first game...there's no excuse not to. Lets face it...it was an easy/lazy/cheap option for the devs.

But why? It's their own little world. They don't need English. And they're video game characters! You're probably one of the only people who care what they say. Listen to a sims conversation is boring. I only do it in the game to raise their friendship level. It doesn't affect the gameplay.

I mean if you're curious how the game is just download it. Doesn't cost anything.

I got the game the first time round out of curiosity more than anything because it was selling so well, but as soon as i saw that gibberspeak and the whole tedious nature of the game i just hated it. It sounds like Sims 2 is going to be exactly the same but with updated graphics. It's just not for me, there's obviously plenty of folks who enjoyed it though. ENJOY!

I think the gibbirish were part of the charm of sims 1. And I think they can make it with one sale less. Razz
