From the screens it's pretty obvious that there's still no HDR. And on a few other posts people confirmed that there's definitely no HDR setting in the full version.
Edit: Some people confuse that overdone haze/bloom effect with HDR. |
I'm not saying you're right nor' wrong, but atleast try the game before you think you know what you're talking about. Screens don't mean shit, should be pretty clear to everyone... |
Yeah I played the demo. I'm currently downloading the game to see exactly what they changed from the demo, but there are about 2000 leechers and 5 seeders. It's not going so well. But we'll see.

Holy smoke, i didn't know that there was so much of a differance between PC and 360 version, glad i have my 360 now after seeing it in the flesh, no wonder you PC owners are moaning so much

This game was excellent, I honestly don't care if it was to look 100 times better on a console or not..its still a bloody great game which I enjoy alot.

The thing that I diden't like from the demo, was that your car could crash into one small little post...and the post would not even move a bit. Thats crap.
How the physics in the fullversion, and did we get a ps2/xbox version on the PC or is this anything different from them? (Except bigger res.)
And finally, yes its a shame we don't get the 360 version...

Which program can edit .cab files? I think I used it for Act of War but I don't remember the name and maybe there's a better one available now. The program I used for AOW was command line based.

For Installsheild cabs You need the ICOMP cab editor which can be found here http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/files.shtml. I have used this program many times to insert the cracked game executable into the setup cab and make a cracked setup and it will also extract files. ICOMP does not have a GUI, it command line based.

afaik dx9c is not capable of HDR and AA/AF at the same time. Apparently valve 'cheated' to make this possible in HL2 (its not true HDR iirc). the 360 uses a similar system to dx10 (althought dx10 on vista will be more capable than 360's version) and therefore it can already handle true HDR and AA/AF at the same time. This is proly why it looks better on 360 (until vista arrives that is).
