Since an hour ago I'm getting CTD's with the Error message "Program will be terminated", at random times it runs perfectly and then it just crashes. Anyone else having the same problem?

This game needs patch very urgently. um................
Maybe that's why the release in the USA has been delayed.
But this game already has been released in Europe.
UBI soft must think European gamers are their beta testers. Cool

Anyone care to explain the difference between the multiplayer options?

As in Battlezones, Combat, Combat ffa, Frontline (well, this one I've played and I know what its all about), Chicken Hunt

Would be most grateful

A motherfucking stupid idiot reviewer of 3rd-class review site rated this game 5/10.
Funny thing is this guy didn't beat the whole game and even doesn't know the hotkey of direct control. And he call it MINI review.
Fucking moronic reviewer should be fired. Evil or Very Mad

I know if I was a reviewer I would be giving this game lower and lower marks the more I played it. The level design is such rubbish, in every campaign. You get 3-5 men, you run here, do this, fight off 1,000 enemies and some tanks, rinse, repeat. No choices, no strategy, just scripted BS gameplay. That's when there is no bug stopping you from completing a mission. This game made my frustration level go thru the roof. So yeah, they lost me to COH as well until they fix all their problems with the shitty-ass game.

And it's funny...I had such faith in ubisoft from their past games, no huge bug-ridden messes and they seemed to offer pretty good support.. but now they pretty much join Atari and other fuckhead publishers with this mess. I can't believe SHOWW2 was better under codemasters...its fucking perplexing.

If you don't like this game, just uninstall it and stop whining.
Why are you still around here and posting your complaints if you don't like it?
Very ironic. Cool

1. grow up and stop being an annoying little fuck to everyone
2. learn the meaning of ironic...actually you should learn to talk in english in general before posting on an english msg board.

Everyone has their oppinion, boake. Upstart doesen't like tactical games, where you have a handfull of units and try to do your best with them, i don't like strategy games(i didn't even try COH, cause i know it's an improved C&C, the rushes are still there, as in every strategy game since dune 2). Just try rushing a position in this FOW and see what happens. Boake, don't go flaming others just because they don't like the game, he's as entitled as you to criticize a game(as you did in the COH thread).

I personally am waiting for the patch to come out. I liked SHOWW2 and i don't like getting a bad imppresion from this one either

The most serious problem of this game which is nagging me is the squad control system and the invisible enemy bug. Except that, game is excellent.
And I think it couldn't get decent review score from US review sites unless those issues are fixed.

You don't like this game. <=> But you are still playing this game.
We can safely say that this situation is ironic or paradoxical.
You seem to lack the general comprehension ability.

The Swedish PCGamer - FOW: 90% COH:92%

Review of CoH and FoW side by side:

Looks:
CoH wins.
Why? Just more beautiful, even if it requires a badass puter.

Story:
CoH wins.
Why? Feels like a genuine background story with extremely good implementation of voiceacting and midsequences.

AI:
FoW wins.
Why? Morale, act upon situation and are less dependant on specific orders.

Multi:
CoH wins.
Why? Quick, beautiful and dramatic.

Challenge (?):
FoW wins.
Why? Two games are seldom alike. Keep thinking, harder.

Replayability:
FoW wins.
A better SP campaign with greater variation.

Sound:
CoH wins.
Why? Everything top class, from background sounds to musik and voices.

FOW FTW!!!!

Or if you like Commandos don't play FOW as FOW is buggy, incomplete and a far cry from the level of excellence in the original Soldiers. If you like scripted missions and having to play a certain way whilst enduring the spate of bugs and glitches that plague the game then fair enough. Talk about it's realism all you like, it's actually LESS realistic than the previous soldiers in many respects.

I WANT to love the game. But, I cannot. A super patch might make it good, but alas I fear not.

Play COH if you want to play a more polished affair, an unashamed RTS that is heavy on entertainment and has all the bells and whistles to make you oooo and ahhh visually and aurally. It's campaign is solid, tight and doesn't APPEAR scripted. It might lack realism but then it doesn't pretend to be realistic.

I'm not sure but I've seen a post that says it won't come out within 2 weeks.
It seems they are testing the patch. It takes time. Smile

Now, I played this game a whopping 4 hours, then I deinstalled it.

Been a loooong time since I played something as unpolished and, wierdly controlled. Maybe if they had worked a bit more on controls and sound, just feels about 70% done.

Seriously, no really good wargames out ATM, CoH is too "lite".

I don't agree. This game was really excellent - sure it was unpolished but still a great game. And the beta patch from yesterday brings ALOT into the game. (check the url included).
The game was great fun in multiplayer even though it had incredible lag (which hopefully was fixed in the new patch). The new patch was supposed to have gone live by now but they apparently had some problems with ubisoft so they had to release it as an beta yesterday and hopefully in a week it will go live. (read more in the url I included).
Unfortunatly the patch requires a crack or the original to play - so atm I havent had the chance to try it out. And thats why I wonder if there is any mini-image or even a crack for it (which i doubt).

(and if you check closely in that thread...you will see a familiar name which most people in this forum hate btw! lol)
