To be totally accurate in terms or square miles. Just cause is 23 times bigger than San Andreas.

Does anyone find it a bit boring? The side missions are go there, get this, bring it back or kill him and come back. Liberating settlements is go here, shoot lots of men, blow up barriers and raise the flag. If it was different for each location then that wouldnt be so bad but its just so samey. I thought it was really repetitive. Am I the only one who thinks this? Dont get me wrong, its really nice to look at and the framerate is very nice considering everything on screen. I saw a PS2 review in one of my dad's magazines and nearly died laughing at the screenshots. I didnt think they would be that much different from the 360 but how wrong I was! Maybe I need to play the game more but GTA is way better than this and so is Saints Row.

Oh I can't wait for the PC release.
Can anyone tell me about the coolest vehicles in the game?
Also is the bike handling as crappy as in the demo?

I know you were just giving your opinon and I apologise. People these days tend to take for granted alot of games now because they are becoming more and more advanced and people get greedier and greedier.
I play Just Cause and for example I get in a plane, I fly above the clouds of a thunderstorm to see the sun shining on top of those clouds, I then look in the distance and spot a mountain which looks amazingly life like and photorealistic, with clouds cascading around the top of the mountain and the summit poking out of those clouds, I fly over, land and stand on top of the mountain and watch the fantastic looking sunrise, then basejump off the mountain pull my parachute and sail across thousands of acres of jungle, cities and the most amazing water Ive seen in a game. Then pull out my grapple and hitch a ride on a passing helicopter.
and after all that I realise then I havent done a story mission, Ive just admired the vast land and effects and possibilities.

Yep, same here and she doesn't play games at all so it was quite unusual.
This game has a fantastic sense of speed, the blur effect really adds to it.

What annoys me about this game are the controls! lol. Im in a vehicle and first off I end up pressing A to accelerate coz I play Saints Row so much and the guy jumps out! Aargh man thats frustrating! Also the map. Is there not a single function that opens the map from the game screen? There is even a load screen for the PDA! That annoys me. The other thing is knowing where to go. I have to keep reverting to the map to know in which direction the road goes in order to get me to my destination.
Just got a chopper and was quite gobsmacked by how high I could go in it and then jumped out and freefell back to earth! That was fun! As we all know its certainly a good looking game and the framerate is pretty impressive considering the draw distance and scale of the playing area but I also like the music and how it changes depending on what you are doing.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Can you travel to the snow-top mountain that you could see far away in the demo?

anyone noticed the screen tearing ign have been complaining about?? cant say ive noticed. The downside is the repetitiveness of the sidemission, i think ign r off their heads with the graphics scores this is one great looking game. Still there's something appealing about breaking into an army base stealing a jet then blowing the holy shit out of everything, it gets the flight part better than most flight games do. The lighting in this game is great especially with the clouds and how the light is cast on them etc

Developers; they always manage to do some parts perfectly, and then mess up the rest so the game ends up being average.

My game still is not working right...
Spoiler: | When I get to the Coca-Fields Mission. None of the fields can be destroyed except for one and all the trucks carrying barrels (marked by black dots on the map) are invisible and the barrels are hovering in mid-air. Even the chemical sprayer machine won't load, so I can't even drive around and spray the fields. I can't finish this mission becuase of whatever is causing this glitch. |
Tried Verbatim @ 2X
Memorex @ 2X
Fuji @ 2X
Same results....
Xbox running Sammy Drive with v3.2 Firmware (NTSC)
Plextor DVD Burner using Clone CD
None of my other backups have this problem.

Are you able to try your game on another 360 console or rent the original. I guess in that situation anything is worth a try no matter how pointless it might be. The only dl brand I have used are Ritek. Maybe you can try those if you can find them. Also are you able to get the iso again or have you already done that? Maybe your iso was broken in some way?
I must admit its very unusual for one game out of all your others to have a problem.

Interesting point.
Even though it burned threw fine and extracted with no errors.
I'll try snagging another.
Weird thing is all the missions up to this point play fine.
Spoiler: | One thing I would like to know is when you do the mission and you get to the point of destroying one field, does the girl who sent you on the mission annouced to you that you now have 5 fields remaining..? Doesn't matter how many I destroy, the game will not confirm my progress in the mission. I ran threw the same mission last night and there is a part where you can pick up some explosive packs from a top a crate. The crate was not there. Also in front or near most of the coca-fields there is a large wooden ramp that could be used for jumping the truck filled with toxic barrels. When I try to run up to this I run right threw it, instead of running on top of it. |
