Hi,

I just bough a 7600 GS 256MB AGP 4 days ago and i have allot of problems with it. The first thing is i cant instal any drivers with AGP x8 enebaled. SO i have to put that on x4 if i want to instal any drivers. I did that and finaly i managed to use the card. But now i have another problems. Allot of games give me a blakc or flikkering screen when i start them, i cna hear the sound then and see my mouse cursor but nothing else. Then again, games like faces of war play exelent. Does anyone know whats the problem is? I have the following force ware drivers 91.43.

get the new drivers 92.91 , and that AGP problem could be your board , can it really read 8x ? or is it busted , check it , anyway i recomend a clean win install if you bought and installed a new hardware for your PC

The new drivers didnt help either, tried that before. And yeah my board supports AGP x8. I have an Asrock 939AX8-M board. I cant see how a clean windows instal wil fix my problem. Any other ideas, i will only doa clean win instal is there is nothing else left to do.

there is sometimes compatibiliy issues with certain chipsets,i'm afraid nothing can be done unless u considering getting yourself other mobo

Thats why i rather avoid reinstaling windows. But then im still wondering what coul have changed? i only inserted the new video card.

You should think about backing up your data, do you have a spare HD? or maybe a USB stick? Or a burner of some kind (DVD or CD)?
