I don't have much of a clue of how Hamachi works.

I just joined that network and now I'm hosting a game in LAN (with CoH 1.2)

Does it work that way?

Seems everybody is offline too. Sad

Edit: CoH is great though. I wonder if I should get Tekken Dark Resurrection for PSP, or get CoH. They're both so awesome.

Look on this website for COH networks.
http://www.planethamachi.com/net_public.php

Download the newest hamachi on this website. Than click 'join' on 1 of the servers on the frontpage.

I agree - its a living hell to keep them back. Just as I start to think my defences are pretty good - they just arse rape me from another direction with tons of tanks.

I can beat hard on 3v3, just barely though. Normal I beat comfortably, even on 1v1. Haven't tried 1v1 hard though.

Nice that Hamachit actually works when you play 2v2 with human opponents and human allies (sarcasm).

Me and my friend was connected to two networks at the same time aswell, could that be the problem? The other clients in the game was only connected to the NFOrce hub.

The only real good defence against tanks seems to be, yeah, tank traps.
Prolly with some artillery powers and AT's behind them.

The population caps are pretty annoying, some skirmishes I've played I've held half the map (plenty of strategic points) but once you've got bunkers, howitzers and such in place for defence - you're not left with much room for offensive units. Balanced maybe, but for me, in RTS games there's nothing better than making tons upon tons of units and blitzing the enemy. (referring to single player skirmishes here)

That is why games like this cant compete with a game like Total Annihilation

This is an offensive RTS, just like Dawn of War. You have to go out and take control points and keep on pushing forward. If you sit on your ass camping in your base, you ain't gonna win.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards
Bravery is not a function of firepower.

Oh you can, sort of. I just played a scirmish and held one part of a city (one side of the river through town. Each side has one point, the third on a bridge. I basically dug in on my side and controlled the bridge so I got 2/3 points draining the allied points slowly. I defended all bridges with ATs, MG Teams and ground fireing 88mm Flak. The 88mm Flak shreds allied Tanks to pieces - holy mother.

This game is great fun but hammers the hardware like nothing else. I got CPU temps of 75 with CoH on my notebook when under normal load I barely breach 70. Dual Core at work finally.

Needs modding to make it more realistic. Otherwise it's a solid game if nothing new or earth shatteringly good.

Or play Annihilation and sit back and build up a large army?
