Does anyone know how i can repair the pershing tank in the trainig mission? I got the repair kit but dont know how to use it.

Find the right tab down on the right side of the HUD and click the repair icon, OR check out the controls... Should be listed there, I dont remember the shortcut-key now.

Equip a soldier with a repair kit, normally found in a tanks inventory. |

hm is it me but the first mission of the german army is total bullshit. at first it was all OK. then it went down like hell. Ok I defended the bridge (3 men VS about 40). But then I cant take that fucking garden because in this game the enemy has some ultra seeing power and OMG how fucking good is their aim compared to my gun (I cant shoot over a certain distance but they can). If it weren't for my friend who is immortal then I dont know what do do.
Hope the other missions aren't as shit as the first one. Its just not right.
And since when all german's speak with fluent english and since when do german say Bloody hell....
In some way I think the Soldiers Heroes of WW II was better but have to play some more to c.

Get in the car and press the unhook button, might have to browse thru different directories of "actions" on the bottom left side. |

Anyone fought on Normandy yet? I seem to have passed it and played an special op mission instead. I got the choice in the trainig mission to go to the front or voluntair for a special op mission, i did choose that and didnt get to play normandy, did anyone do?

dam the german training has the same voices (when your men say something and their picture comes to the screen) than the US training... this sucks... really sucks...
hm first impression of the game is "WTF they did with a good game". Btw its fun to c when the "nade bug" comes in. The men just wont throw the nade and he explodes  It happens sometimes.

Yup! just played the 1st German mission...I cant really see any big difference to Soldiers, OK new scenario etc, but those voice actors SUCK!!!!! big time. and the music is like played on a frigging Casio or something...wow feels very cheap somehow. OK I guess the game play is sorta OK and only OK.
I preferred Soldiers to this...sorry.

Btw: best thing about these games are that you don't have to play as Americans but you can play German or Russian. I just can't play for example call of duty (or similar games) single player 'cause of USA current (and past) government.

LOL this game has some really weird bugs and voice acting. Like if you play the Elite tutorial with germans the mine planting guy says: Come nome Timo or smt like that but you can read the suptitles and the guy name is Tommy. But if you play the Russian (same elite tutorial shit with other units) the name is right.
WTF happened to the game when it got developed. Seems they cut some huge corners when it comes to voice acting. And this game has some bugs: sometimes my men dont move when I tell them to so i need to use the "direct control" to "unlock them". Or sometimes some of my team mates fall behind.
Soldiers HoWWII had some bugs but in the end (with the patch) it was superb tactical WW II game that was so nice and with realistic physiques etc. But some how it seems that this Faces of War is only a cheep way to cash in some money.
Hopefully a patch will be released soon that fixes some of the bugs. |

Yes there are bugs, but as you said so did S:HOWW2.. And for the voices, yep. Sometimes its pretty fucked up. But _I_ don't care, Im not sitting and listening to their bullshit chatter. Maybe Im blind, but I don't see the big "letdown" with this title, I enjoy it quite much. CO-OP will be awsome later on.

This is nothing like COH and COH is nothing special either. It's just a fancy pants RTS by the numbers set in WWII. It's nothing special. It's just a good solid well made game, and while that is to be applauded I think the COH love is a bit extreme for what is essentially the same game we've played over and over.
Now I've not played anything other than the two Faces of War demos briefly (MP and SP) and my impressions were not great. I found the MP to have seriously poor netcode (especially in light of the originals great netcode which provided me with lots of CO-OP fun for hours and hours on end!!). Whilst I found the singleplayer demo strange and off putting, it also felt different from the original in a way I cannot describe.
I'm hoping some perseverance with the full version will change my opinions on the game but nonetheless it is imperative that it is understood the two games are pitching for two different audiences and to compare is fruitless.

BestWay is not known to hire good voice actors. Remember Hard Truck? god awfull voice acting..
But they can still make some decent games those russians.
