I would assume the sony isnt a very good burner (even if its a lite-on), I've had nothing but bad luck with sony burners. Secondly memorex is nowhere near as good as say Verbatim for media. Thirdly burn at max 2.4x even with a quality burner and quality media.
Also bitsetting is always reset during boot unless your burner features "flash" setting where the default bitsetting is flashed into the drive firmware rom itself and remains permanent until set otherwise.

I just found out one of the guys I live with has the pioneer DVR-108 which I have seen to be confirmed as a working and good drive to use. We have updated to the latest firmware (still no bit setting available but I have high hopes).. Im going to reburn for the 3rd time using this drive instead.. *crosses fingers*

108 works fine, i have one, it has auto bittsetting and the programs used to detect states that pioneers don't have bitsetting available, but you'll be fine

Ok im going with Enchanted Arms as I *love* RPG's and feel the review/comments have made it worth the burn.. I have 1 more disk though, still not sure.. Saints Row? Worth it?
Also, has anyone used the Xbox360 to stream movies to your TV from your PC?

Looks shit? What the fuck are you talking about. It's like a next gen version of GTA, what more do you want? Get it!
I would get GRAW aswell, awesome graphics and essentially a different game from the PC and other console versions. If you like anything to do with military strategy, especially anything related to the modern military I would get that.
Erm, Chrome Hounds has awesome multiplayer, but is lacking in singleplayer. If you like big mechs and have a live subscription I would get that too.
I mean, what type of game are you looking for?

Sorry I should have clarified.. by "looks shit" I was refering to the UK tv advert which pretty much only shows a guy dressing up as a pimp and shooting rockets at cars, it didnt appeal, but then again if it *is* as good as GTA (thus my question) then I'll burn it!
I like pretty much everything that isnt a sports sim (racing is not included in that).. so anything that is worth downloading and burning I want! For now though I am out of money, and only have 1 disk left, so I need the "best of the best" ..
Chrome hounds looks great, but I wont be buying a live subscription (I do however have a month free).. What is Perfect Dark like? Is the split screen as good as on the N64? or at least compairable?
I got my Xbox connected to my PC for music, just scanning the drive now.. still no go on video's though, looks like I need a Media Centre PC.. which I am willing to install. Although surely there is a third party option?
:edit:
OMG.. streaming music from my PC while playing dead rising.. amazing..

i use an old dvd5 pioneer burner - dvr-105 alongside the newer pioneer dvr-110d with latest firmware.
use Datawrite Yellow 4.7GB 8x DVD-R --> dvr-105
and Datasafe DVD+R DL 8.5GB --> dvr-110d
had no problems reading in console or on PC
always verify each burn as well

I would buy a pioneer dvr-110d [sYn] my friend tried with a different burner for his US x360 and it didnt work so he went out and bought a pioneer dvd-rw and it worked first time.
He is now enjoying all x360 games he can get his hands on hehe.
I would do this too but i'm getting a Wii first before i get a x360. Still waiting for that game thats gonna get me to buy one. I think mass effect will do that tho.
