hi peeps,
i have a problem when i try to install lego star wars 2 it says the file defaul~1.cab has no digital signature and is possible to be corrupted.
any help on this?
EDIT , i already downloaded it from two different places , same error.
EDIT 2
Much people have this error , i found a way to fix it, so if anybody has it read this.
1
Copy all the files in image to some place in hdd. Rename Defaul~1.cab to something else. Start install, it will complain that Defaul~1.cab is missing. Rename it back to Defaul~1.cab and continue/retry, but don't rename again with the correct name until you click on cancel 1 time, then you rename with the correct name, click no , and repeat/retry, the installation will continue without problem.
2
but i saw this around "LEGO Star Wars II.msi" which you overwrite the one thats in the iso files (extract all files on HD or use winiso to delete the old one and add new one)
install now works fine but the *** is still fucked from what i understand..i havent really tried to play the game besides installing it now and checking out the intro)
i dont know if its cool to post a link for the msi file or not...

|
 |
Well, the game installs and runs fine with the crackfix, but i can't get it to accept my changes to the keyboard. I can change all the keys to my preferences, except the jump key, No matter what i do, the game won't remap it.
Am i the only one experiencing this?

I had the same install problem with a two CDs I burned...
But, I mounted the image on a virutal CD drive using Alchohol 120% and the install did go though fine..
mail_inc.. there is an apply button on that screen you need to hit so it saves the key binding changes..

This is a strange one...
I downloaded both game and crackfix, extracted image, patched it and burned the image.
When I tried to install from my DVDROM I got the "defaul~1.cab has no digital signature..." message and the install aborted.
I tried on my laptop (DVD/CD-RW Combo)...no problem at all! Wtf...
I went back to the computer where it wouldn't install and opened the defaul~1.cab on the cd with winrar and tested the files...The arcive was corrupt...I did the same thing on my laptop and the archive was fine...
On the computer where it wouldnt install I have both a DVDROM and a DVD-RW so I put the disc in the DVD-RW instead and tested the defaul~1.cab...the file was fine! I installed the game with no problems....
Strange... but might help some...

I do....can't go any further after that...tried again...and again, then gave up.
let me know if there's a solution.
found a solution on the lucasarts forum: run the win2k exe, in the game directory there's two game executables, run the w2k one... good luck
