Can anyone tell me, or point to an url for the minimum specs for xpmce....i want to get vid streaming running for my 360 and am guessing that the specs on my file server arent going to enuff (p2-450, 384mb ram, ragepro, sb pci 128, 230gB hdds), it works admirably at the mo with xpsp2 serving to the laptop,2 xbox1s and the xbox360 but i would like to get xpmce on it to stream films to the 360. any help much app...

you cant with wxpsp2 only. then you can only stream pics and music. sad but true.

thanks nailbiter, good link....wish i had that when trying to get the 360 to talk with pc originally...
am going to get some serious upgrades for the server in a week or so - due to unexpected windfall Smile
going for amd xp3800+ x2 am2/1 gb ddr2/asus am2 mb with gf6150 hd 5.1 etc/ 300gb sata2
going to multiboot xp32/xp64/mce/vista

hopefully will do job nicely... next month 21" ws tft monitor/ 360vga cable/ comp-svhs-vga adaptor with built in tv tuner... retire my tv... all under £250... sweet

intel i7 3770k @4.4, ASRock Z77 Extreme 4, 16GB Corsiar Vengance 1600 ram, ATI 5850 BE, Antec 1 Case, Antec 1 550W PSU, emu0404, 120gb agility3 ssd OS, 2x60gbvertex2raid0 Games, 3 TB total sata2 Data. win7 x64.

XPMCE is pretty much XPSP2 buth with some added functionality... which you wont actually be using! I reccon if your machine can run XPSP2 it can run XPMCE (the "pretty" media interface will run like an arse, but you don't need that from what I know..)..
