Figured I'd post this as I had looked it up for myself.
I thought hunting were to 95% about waiting, so how can a hunting game be "action packed"? Oh well, looks like crap.

i thought it looked good and the other hunting games were quite good. it looks like u can ride a horse or sumthin in this version so will speed up the gameplay chasing a single deer through a forest.

This is actually a good game series. Better than Deer hunter.

It's a good game series actually  - Deer Hunter is as well, plus and cons for both.

Any hunting game cannot be good since its a hunting game.. go shoot some zombies on d3.. at least they'll try to harm you and won't run away..

if uve played this quite often if u are too close the animals will charge at you. you need to find a good balance between distance and safety.

It's a good game, and definately more action orientated than something like Deer Hunter - it's also more varied and fun but the Animal AI doesn't appear as intelligent however that's not a problem.
Hunting games are actually good, if anything you can compare it to playing as sharpshooter in some wargame.

short answer: yes 
Trust me it's a good game, although whether or not it's your cup of tea depends on you having patience and/or find the idea of trekking and stalking your 'kill' enticing.
As I say it's like being sharpshooter and it's great.
Game also lets you hunt in lions, elephants and the rest in a Zambia map.

Number two had a couple of good instant action scenarios too for the impatient. Maybe this one also have such scenarios.
