Would i be banned if i installed the xbox 360 xtreme firmware onto my console? So i can play ripped games since i play on xbox live.

If you would be banned for using it on live is there some way to turn off this feature? so i wouldnt be banned from using xbox live??

Thank you for your time.

Sincerly,

MoB Frenzy

Well , as of yet ripped games on the 360 cant be detected on xbox live , but i would imagine microsoft are working on this .
My advice, if you choose to flash and play on live , is to decline any dash/console updates until you have searched on the net to see what the update entails , but game updates are fine at the moment.

hope that helps.

Its like psp all over again , with fiirmware bieng exploited and patched to remove exploit.
Iits a never ending circle.

My personal opinion is that sony and microsoft have came up with a viable way of, not eradicating game piracy, but certainly keeping it out the hands of the average consumer, as most general non savvy console buyers wont want the hassle of constant patching and just stick to buying games.so it will be left to the hardcore console buyers who dont mind taking things and part and having the element of risk.

Just my opinion not facts so no flaming required Very Happy

But they cant know what to evade before it actually hits live.. So if it destroys the flash a lot of flashed drives will be fucked

they cant disable your xbox360 it goes against consumer laws of many countries. What they can do however is disable all support for the console. Including game patches, multiplayer over live, official xbox 360 hardware support. It says in the xbox EULA that opening and modifying your console voids all microsoft support and services. They'll likley issue an update that will render the firmware hack redundant on line and on future games after the november dash update. My advice is when that november update comes dont apply it to your console until word spreads of anything going on with bans etc. It is hard for microsoft to detect the mod they have to dump the firmware to the console to check it properly, the older xbox360 releases are pretty easy to differentiate from original or the newer stealth patched ones. This is likley to be cat and mouse every summer and winter dash update, just be smart and dont update in november until the dust has settled

The big question , for me at least is as follows:
Would the ban be a total ban, which means, a useless 360 by all means, or would it be a Live ban only, which is ok by me, because I'm a not a big fan of MP anyway...
What do you think guys?
It's so tempting just to hack the damn drive...
