I think they should forget about free DT and finish the fu..ing DT Pro already. DT4 still does its job one way or another - you can play any game except maybe Tages Protected games. Sometimes you need other tools too but anyway you can play backups if you really want. All i want now is DT Pro - the universal tool that creates images, burns, emulates latest protections (SF4,Tages,Securom), has VIDE drives, quick antiblacklisting updates etc. I dont want another DT4 whithout updates which will be blacklisted by everyone 1 week after release

Maybe DT Pro is planned too then? I already knew DT4.0.4 was coming. But Selt said that DT Pro should be released around september, so maybe DTPro then too?
What I don't really like, is the end of life-time-support...

life time support remains for old buyers. the thing changes for new ones.

I would like to see them create a new life-time-support. I dont care paying 10EUR extra or something then.

Well, I beg to differ. As far as I hate obese gaming companies filled with useless execs and analysts and other "you-name-the-idiotic-title" people; the ALL-TECH companies like these guys suffer from other problems, namely someone should really explain them the concept of "salesmanship".
Rule #1: DO NOT ALIENATE FUTURE CUSTOMERS!!!
If you want to restrict/change the rules of game to earn a few bucks to inject some cash into the final phase of production, you do it few months in advance by saying: "Starting September we will stop with lifetime support, hurry now or lose the perk". You don't just show up one day and change the rules and rub it in my face, coz I dont like being disrespected by a company and will take my money elsewhere (and still use their product just to show them how stupid they are). If I don't let Atari's and Ubi's and EA's of this world screw me around for my money, I sure as hell will not let them. So that's already $15 less in their pocket, multiply by number of boycoters and there's your lost revenue. Lost revenue = bad business, at least it is in my company...
And you especially don't do this in their position. They have (willingly or not, its unimportant) established themselves as one of the centers of resistance against abuse by game industry by providing an instrument to relieve the pressure and force the industry to conform to fair-use. And they were doing so by being a part of that underground. Now they want to profit from their popularity and are charging for the instrument, and its ok, it really is, and I dont mind paying, but they should not forget where they came from. Supporting them is one thing, pumping them cash annually to increase the IPO value for NASDAQ is another...
I sure hope that someone would be able to reach them and give them a few tips as they seem lost... They are definitely not HBO and I am not paying them a subscription.

well they say thats its very difficult to blacklist the new DT pro so I wouldn't expect blacklistings like the previous deamon tools but prolly blacklist about 8 months or so for secu and safedisc (SF might be a bit faster) but securom and safedisc programmers aren't that fast with difficult updates just look at securom loader still works.

Just tested Sword of the Stars Clone (the only clone I have on the hdd) and it doesn't work. This "new" version is a joke, probably just updated the ad-displayer a bit.

Frozen The guild 2 wouldnt work through shortcut or main exe, when i removed the image through daemon tools then reloaded the image, and started the game through autorun
it worked fine..
Try it with just cause , remove image... load image... make sure securom emulation is on
and click start or whatever with auto run
