All versions of Saints Row are region free as far as I know, but I've heard if you use an American or European copy on an Australian Xbox 360 you'll get a censored game. Might be the same for Germany.

They fixed the censoring issue prior to it's release. It was a bug that was applying german censorship to our consoles.
Aus version is identical to the rest of the world, apart from the german version.

I am pretty impressed with it so far. The only time the lagging gets to be a problem is at night, which isn't very bad since I prefer driving in the day anyways. And I think the reviewers are knocking it for being like GTA way too much, especially gamesplot(8.3 compared to ppls reviews of 9). I mean if a game is fun, who cares? I'm not playing it thinking about what it is copying unless its a crappy boring game. Now all those other gta clones, you play those and just wonder why the hell they even bothered...
Anyways off to play some more...I wanna get me one of those giant soda costumes and go around beating ppl to death while laughing my ass off.

Agree...
Theres too much talk about this is a GTA ripoff etc. who fucking cares....
Do you ever wonder what HL2, CS, DOD and so on are ripped off? If you really want to compare all games then all games are cheap ripoff from the first game ever in it's genre.
No ones forcing you to play it anyway. I love the game because i think it's a lot of fun, and i dont care that it's like GTA, infact thats what i like about it...

i actually prefer this over GTA, prefer the different gang storylines, prefer the waypoint markers that shows you you next location, prefer the "add a homie " to your gang, handy for cannon fodder on some of the levels. I'm 55% done at the moment with just the Rollers left to do.
Great game and some great moments in the missions

just completed main story line, loved it, took 21 hours for me. Hope for a sequel but with GTA on the horizon i doubt there will be one. This was one of the most enjoyable games i've played on the 360

Yeah the FPS do dip quite low sometimes, but it isn't really much of an issue. Nowhere near as bad as some people have made out.
It's not the 360's power limit though. It's obviously the developers coding. Because Just Cause looks even better then Saints Row, and it's view distance is far greater, yet that never gets any slowdown.
I mean you get it all the time for the PC, some games are coded well and run fantastically even on lower spec PC's. Then you have games which don't even look that good yet they still run like ass.
Still, it is one of the best looking games i've ever played. Definitely in my top 10.

But it is not defenetly the developers bullshit! In Saints Row there are many things! Many cars and many explosions with very good physics...I hope GTA 4 works better but the performance is ok of course ^^

When you get rid of all the gangs then you get new missions. "3rd row saints" WTF is the point ? 3rd mission we die :S I tought there was more. is there something im missing ?
