hmm, when i went from virginia to west virginia/ohio the toll i had to pay was $1.25
dunno about ny or so, check that.

1 expresso coffee in a regular coffee shop: 50 cents
1 pack of marlboro: €2,90
1 beer: €1
a room in a 2 or 3 stars hotel: €50
@SycoShaman: My sister went alone in a trip all around europe by train and she had the time of her life. If you are alone you have the need to meet people, if you're with someone chance is you won't meet anyone.
Spain is awsome for vacations aswell!
