this is the worst demo i've ever seen
it might be and probably is an ok game, but this is the worst disservice they could do for their product
it's grossly unoptimized in both code and size.. the loadtimes are ridiculous and 1.4 motherfucking GIGAbytes, for TWO levels smaller than my dick
i hope they release a new demo when the game out, for their own sake
not that i would be downloading it
and i do hope they keep working on it
there's potential and the fights were sorta fun.. i'm sure tons more fun once you learn to play it smooth

1. This demo is a joke ,download 1,4 gig from net then install it to have a 2,7 gig demo that has only 2 small levels like 20 min gameplay .
2.The load times are the same like in Call of Juarez , the more detail you set the longer you wait - for me , all set to max , yes max - load times 1 min for a level for the first time , 20 sec for the second time , looks like they cache the levels or the textures in the windows virtual memory for a faster load time .
3.Nice game , great graphics , and a fantastic combat system , this was the only thing missing in Oblivion .
4.The game structure is similar to Thief 3 , you know objective system with a smart Ai and the presence in the game - seeing your feet and hands .
For me this game was kinda diffrent from the games we see today , but the size was humongous , wonders me how big will be the full game , 9 gigs or more .... waiting to play the full version in fall 2006 - i hope

bah.. took forever to download and doesnt even work, half-way trough the loading it just freezes and i even have to reset my computer.
i bet this game will sell really good no matter if it's pure crap. just having the Source engine gives this game _loads_ of attention from the media.

Its fun. Not worth the 2 hours I wasted downloading, installing, and playing it, but I'm guessing the Full version will be good. Hopefully they kill the load times a bit.

Seems like they need to work a tad more on the necromancer. He's carrying a giant error o.o
And it seems they need lots more work on the Lich. It IS an error.. o.O;
Oh, but heres a working monster for ya. He's a special boy.
The zombie code is the same as goblin, but instead of _goblin its _undead. Have fun. lol.

Thats why stupid people get all the girls, lol. >.> But yeah. you can spawn Phenrig too. Just use phemrig instead of goblin or whatever. lol. I'm having fun trying to discover their leftover crap. >.>

I can say this for certain, unless it runs absolutely perfectly you won't enjoy the battles half as much. I was running it on 1280x1024 with everything on max, and it ran fine until I got into a battle. I thought the fighting was pretty boring then because it didn't feel very fluid. So I tried turning things down a bit, and now it runs perfectly during battles too, and it made the experience far more enjoyable. You feel in total control.
