If a parcel got posted on saturday 2nd class what are the chances of it being delivered on the monday? It's 1-3 days and i'd imagine they don't work through sunday so I think it will be tuesday.... but sayin that they could work through sunday and have a stockpile ready for monday.
Anyone had experience of posting 2nd class on a saturday? I'm sure I have I just can't rememebr specifically :/

Well it depends on the individual postman. They're supposed to leave in 2nd class post until the day it's supposed to come in. A friend I'm chatting to was a postman for 10 years.

Yea but it's 1 to 3. So that means it could come 1 two or deffo three days later. With it being a weekend though I'm not sure how it works exactly though :/ I think it will most likely be tuesday though because quite a lot of mail would have been sent on friday / sat and that'd take priority

Well like I said it's down to the individual postie. If it comes into the office on the Sunday then you should get it. Remember that even there are no deliveries on a Sunday, there still are collections.
What is in the parcel if it's not too personal. I mean I hear blow up dolls deflate down to quite a small size.

Only some lipstick + eyeliner thing (no really it's not for me ), which might even come in an envelope i'm not sure but it should have been collected on the saturday (5:30 post or whatever it is) so i'm holding out for tomorrow but i don't know.

Yeah. Who sends a parcel 2nd class anyway. Personally the Royal Mail isn't what it was 10 years ago. They're using agency people in there too. When my mate started his job he had to sign the official secrets act and he was security checked every 3 months, to see if he had a criminal record. Now all you seem to see on the TV is people nicking credit cards. I was watching a documentary a few weeks back. This guy a postman was selling 100's of them.

homemade porn = I think even I would steal that
You can make a bit of money selling that and you're blameless. Lipstick though. is what, a fiver?

My mum probably did but I don't know. I aint seen the whole charts but I heard about it a few weeks ago and seen the adverts (didn't it start on the 5th?) and it's a joke. They're already robbin us with 27p nvm with the extra costs and no extra service really. With the 5p (or whatever it is) will a postman's job be easier? No. Will they use the money for the benefit of the company rather than shareholders + benefactors? NO
I know like peter kay (or some other comedian) said the whole thing about you give someone a letter and say 'give this to my mate up north for 27p' then you'd tell them to piss off. But with the network and the volume there's no need for these extra charges at all.

No shareholders because it's a publically held company.
Truth be known is that to send mail in this country is actually rather cheap. Sending a video plus box to Sweden is like a fiver. To send that same package back will cost 37ish.

plc = has stocks and shares = more profit will go to share holders in the value of shares rather than as a dividend.
Anyway when you compare the population and the size of sweden to that of the UK it's different. I don't think it's that expensive but even so international rates are paid for by the other country because they figure they have the same amount of traffic goin in as they do goin out (wether that's true or not doesn't matter, that's how they operate).

To have a plc you must have at least two shareholders. The Royal Mail has none.

@Sub
What do you do when you stay up for a day or 2? Dont you get bored and would rather prefer killing some time with a nap?
When I have the occasional insomnia attack, I get really frustrated. Been uo for 48 hours with nothing to do, usually i dont end up going to work on the 2nd cause im to zoned out and I cant sleep.
I dunno why you like it man...I hate not being able to sleep
