If you have the original DS2 buy this but try to get a good deal on it for people in canada Future shop is having a fast sale price on this game its only gonna last until 6th of august should be 24.99 with taxes adds around to 28 bucks and some cents heres a link

Did I do something wrong?
I've had DS2 installed for a very long time (I've really enjoyed ripping it apart to rebuild it; once you pick up on skrit/gas/ffx it's really cool some of the things you can do)...but I think I've seriously borked my game for BW.
I grabbed the only copy of BW I could find on the NGs - the Unleashed BWClone - and installed it, but wow...everything is broken! When you try to choose Dwarf in the Create New Character, it has the same description as Dryad. You can't talk to half the people in the first camp. The two new classes all have 99 points in the skills, with no rollover tooltips. Skill resets are free. Just...tons of stuff isn't working properly.
So I'm wondering, is the Unleashed version broken? Is it somehow my modded DS2? Obviously I'm going to uninstall and reinstall DS2+BW to see what's up, but I thought I'd double check here and see if anyone else had similar issues.
Ooops, and yah this should go into Technical I think...

Hard to believe.... but there IS actually a way to play the AddOn with the old DS2 saves even if you used the RELOADED crack...its even described in the official DS2 forums.
A guy called ELYS wrote a tool making this possible .... THANKS!!!
you can DL it here:

1. Delete or rename the RELOADED cracked exe and use the original exe (2.0), otherwise the following steps wont work (mount MiniImage in DT4)
2. Start the TOOL by ELYS - it will launch orginal DS2
3. Load your last savegame and start the game
4. Save your game and exit
5. Start BROKEN WORLD (with Securom Loader) and you will now (hopefully) be able to import your old DS2 party. You can even continue in a higher difficulty if you finished DS2 in Veteran (or even Elite)
Well, so it worked for me.... I am going to play now with my old level 84 party - good that I kept it

thank you very much, this method works:)
usually i keep all the original exes for my games but guess i've deleted the DS2 one. Hopefully instead of using the original 2.0 exe i've used the TNT fixed 2.0 crack, and theni've recovered the saves with the tool. After that i've launched the broken world and converted all of my chars, i've used the cracked exe not the securom, but hope this time, the crack will be stable..
edit: may be it's because i've not used the original exe.. but there is something strange and buggy with my party that's left in the inn. I can't take them with me when i clik the add button, or when i do it suddenly all of them disappear from the inn:(

Hmmmmm..... I did'nt have to go through all that crap to import MY DS2 Saved characters. all I did was install DS2(Reloaded), copy the save game files I had backed up to the appropriate folder, install Broken World, Start it and import...Worked flawlessly...

yeah you can say it has much better gameplay then titan quest , has GORE and cam that you can move and it will not crash like crazy |

I'd have to rate them the same. Boring as hell. Titan quest looked far better in my opinion as well as the story was able to be followed. DS you just get the feeling of hack n slash through the whole game. Nothing ever new.

yes the starting point in this expansion is uninspired to say the least - pretty ugly. Titan Quest Greece section was beautiful but both games suffer from blandness - kind of like the shredded wheat of the gameing industry ;-P
also not much point importing your character as you get to choose from at least 6 fully euipped char's in the 1st location - I'll keep my hopes up for Supreme Commander whichshould rock !
