I would certainly think that doing it in game is far more interesting than watching a guy doing it on video. Remember that the AI also react to the destructible environments. You can also use it to your advantage, chop a tree down and watch it kill an NPC.
From the screenshots I have seen so far, especially the new ones, it looks like this will be used in a lot of cool scenes. Don't think this game will be boring for a second!

No doubt. Just think of clearing so trees to get better tactical views of your enemys positions. Take down some to block there supply lines. The possiblities are endless

It's either going to be out late this year, or Q1 2007. It's that simple. I don't expect it to be delayed, and if it does, not by much. Certainly not by your idiotic projection dates, MikiMouse.

he has been delayed to 2007 to be able to be played under DX10 when windows vista will be released
it hasn't any reasons to be once again delayed

Like most stuff shown in videos, it looks really awesome and interesting at first. But when the game is released, you notice that it isn't that great and has a lot of limitations, which weren't disposed in the videos (for obvious reasons).

Yeah it has no reasons except hardware reason and reason why most games remember how many times doom was delayed and half-life2, s.t.a.l.k.e.r. is not out yet at all but it was so promising at e3 all game mags was saying. and bla its canceled.

whoa ok definitely a spoiler in the end part of the second video.
i remember when the game was initially announced, the devs were talking about something heppening in the game that would blow you outta the water - basically would take the game/plot above and beyond anything Far Cry touched on. well there it is if you wanna get spoiled (tho im sure i missed a boat somewhere and people already saw it and know about it)

HL2 got delayed because the game was not finished, same with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.! And no, STALKER won't be delayed again, it has got a final release date and it is Q1 2007.

I just got the russian PC Gamer and they say that STALKER is still in development, and they even state that they played some beta version.
