I still use mine from time to time, mostly when I have some large compiles taking up all my cpu cycles, but when I get the Wii then I will send the X-Box on pension. Twisted Evil

Yep, its the same with the PS2, people are almost starting to forget about it but theres stuff like Guitar Hero 2 (possibly the game im most hyped about on any system at the moment), God of War 2, Pro Evo 6, Final Fantasy and Phantasy Star Universe plus a few of the multi platform games that you listed too hayvis - im gonna upgrade anyway whilst still keeping the old machines, its actually pretty cool that games are still coming out though.

On Xbox highlights for me are SC:DA....they ran a pretty good updated impressions feature based around the Xbox version on IGN recently and it sounds impressive even though I will play/buy the game next gen.

Also Scarface, the video interviews during E3 sold this one to me, never heard a bunch of developers talking so much smacktalk about their product - almost sniggering at the interviewer when he suggested that the game would be like GTA Vice City then responding with a comment along the lines of "No its going to be so much better", I don't think I've ever seen a game with so much celeb voice talent either. The way I understand it is that the game will start from the coked up "say hello to my little fren" mansion shootout and rather than Tony dieing you obviously rewrite the events that happened in the movie. I hope there are some flashback missions in there as well mind, but credit to them for trying something a little different and it'll be interesting to see how the plot progresses and Tony taking his revenge. Very Happy

Yeah. I'm really looking forward to the Wii. The DS has been an amazing success, and I'm really hoping that Nintendo will go from stregnth to stregnth again. They're the company that care most about the quality of both their hardware and software. You never hear of game lock ups, over-heating power supplies etc in their products. The worst that happens is that they kill their own marketing by pushing games back due to their rigid quality control policy. I'm not a Nintendo fan boy and will probably get a 360 and will consider the PS3 too, but over the years I've always found that Nintendo have a true loyalty to their customers that is sadly lacking in their competitors. So I'm going to enjoy my Xbox that I've carefully modded into a reliable console and wait to see how the others pan out. The Wii is a no brainer though due to it's price and as I said before it's bound to be reliable.

PS... I didn't realise that they were being so ambitious with Scarface, I was looking forward most to Bully and Just Cause the most before you said that and now I'm really excited about that game too.

I hadn't been following that game, its Sega/AM4 that are behind it obviously which would normally be enough to get me excited. Over the past several months though I kind of feel that Sega have lost their way a little after what was a blistering start to their game developer/publisher only status.

A few of the recent Sonic games have been especially weak by their standards and IMO they also now seem to brandish the "2K Games" label around at their leisure, which to me effectively devalues the brand. Where as before I would have looked at a game and thought "2K Games" have involvement in this and associated the branding with some form of quality now im apprehensive.

Spikeout: Battle Street by AM4 was really poor too and Yakuza at least from the screens reminds me of that generic style of beat em up, Yakuza could be fun though (who knows) ....I am the guy after all that recommended Final Fight Streetwise to people on these boards Razz The screens looked funny as well, alot of them showed the guys fighting using these japanese planters/lanterns as weapons, which were huge, almost disproportionate to their bodies yet there swinging them round like baseballl bats. Very Happy

Yakuza is supposed to be a bit like Shenmue! I really hope that's true.
