Seems I've got a problem with setting up a private (cracked) server in COD2:

Setup:
COD2 V1.3 + private server exe
My pc behind router => NON-dedicated server (so I host AND play on this machine)
Router => Virtual server/forwarded ports => 28960-28969
My friend's pc's are directly on modem (also with cracked exe)
When trying WITHOUT Hamachi:
My friends fill in into console 'connect [my ip]'
Nothing happens, the 'awaiting connection' is displayed on and on and on...
When trying WITH Hamachi:
They find my server as a lan server, click on 'join' => 'awaiting connection' again, nothing else happens....

Strange thing is it works with Call of Duty 1 (not using Hamachi), that game is using the same ports
Micro Machines V4 is working using Hamachi
Same thing happens when my friends host a server in COD2 and they don't use a router
Then I and the others got the message 'awaiting connection'
Did someone experience the same problem with the crack?
EDIT:
1. We are able to join public online cracked servers, so our crack seems to work right.
2. When on a LAN we can connect, so it's only a problem hosting/joining our own server via internet
i couldnt join a friends server from the ingame browser... i added his server to my HLSW (google it) program and launched thru there... worked... try that if u want
