Ok so I have a GFX card with 2 heads, both connected to my nice new monitors, but I wouldnt mind adding a third to the mix, however as I said, I only have 1GFX card with 2 heads! I can't add a PCI device as I blew up most of my PCI slots, now only 1 works and is currently being used by my X-FI.. So, solutions?

I could connect my laptop upto a monitor then connect that to my PC using a program named "maxivista" but that would render the laptop useless and I dont know how it would perform in games..

I know there is a bit of kit out there that lets you add another monitor onto your setup, but I've totally forgotten what the thing is called and who it is made by?!

Any other thoughts?

THATS THE ONE! I couldn't remember what it was called, and was unsure how to classify it! Wonder how much these sell for and if they will let me play games decently :\

edit: strange, it states it only supports 2560x1024.. which im running right now, I wanted it to add to my already growing res.. i have a feeling this wont happen Sad! Oh well, I guess ill have to wait until company's start doing high end cards with 3 outputs Wink

wow, cool idea. what matrox did is forced you gfx to support wide screen resolution. and then uses hardware splitter to split the wide screen signal to two or three monitors. so basically, windows doesn't have a clue that you are running multi monitor setup. very clever. Smile

it has one drawback, though. you'll have to run the same resolution across all monitors. but if all of them are same, then this is not a problem at all.
i have dual monitor setup at home. one is 17" and other is 19". plain old crt Smile so this isn't for me.

but get this idea. since any modern gfx card has dual head, you could buy two of these triplehead2go thingies and connect 6 monitors.. now that's cool Very Happy
