The USA just didn't want the battleground on their own land. The Nazi's had to be stopped while they still could... Hitler was a threat for the whole world.

When Germany attacked us, we didn't stand a chance, they thought that they would conquer us in one day, but we managed to hold them back for two weeks.
Ofcourse we needed the "help" of the US, as much as we also needed help from the Russians, the British and the Canadians. (and more)

We can't underestimate any country that fought this war. Every country has dead young soldiers who gave their life for the victory and shouldn't be forgotten.

When soviet union attacked finland, with major force compared to finnish one. the finns wouldnt just stand there and wait, they fought and kept their independence. the only help swedes gave to finland was that they took some children and women for safety. Of course, finland had major help from nazis - without their help things might had end differently.

what are you talking about, it is same kind of terrain. it was about the men. finland actually captured st.petersburg, which is in soviet unions land.
sweden denied to give ANY kind of armory help (supplying weapons etc.) and warned finland not to request any help from them, while soviet union attacked finland. looking at the facts of the war, i can honestly say sweden were cowards. you just dont let someone to walk to your country and conquer it, like denmark and norway.
Without American industry the Soviet Union would have fallen and europe would have been fucked
