Now that X³ Reunion is avaiable on steam, I hope that plex or somebody else get it and make a working version as Half-life and the other steam games.

If this is true( and I've seen no mention of it anywhere so a link would be nice) then it's great news casue I've never really played X3, cause of all the procedures with starforce and all that crap.

No, we're not developing a train simulator, nor has a new race appeared in the X-Universe with steam-powered spacecraft!
In order to bring both X²: The Threat and X³: Reunion to the widest possible audience, there is now a new way to buy them that means you don't even have to leave your seat. Just head over to Steam where you can purchase both games for download directly to your PC. No more disks and an excellent price, especially for those who act quickly.
Since the Steam version does not include a registration code, access restrictions on forums and downloads relating to X³: Reunion have been lifted.
Note: Patches for both games are available to anyone, with or without a forum account. However, for other downloads such as updated manuals and bonus material, you do have to create a forum account and be logged into the site.

I bought it ages ago, really comes into its own when you install scripts from the modding community. Have a look at the X3 forums for the good stuff

Bought it from Steam yesterday, start was quite hard. Be sure to check out the tutorials at the official forums, I just noticed those today and they help a lot. But I think it was worth the investment, one of the best games I played this year...
