Now you wanna bet/lose money on that?

It's a bit silly to say redundant for one, how will it be more than neccessary, how will these basic gameplay ideas be in excess?

Personally I have been hankering for a good fps for a while. Prey semi-filled that gap for now, but there is nothing better for me than the tactile experience an fps brings. I find nearly every other genre puts a layer between you and the action (except vehicle games - racing/flying ect). RPG's usually simplify the combat and determine your ability by stats, rts's are the least involved, ect ect.

Having a beautiful engine and pure simplicity in gameplay is a thing to behold imo.

Good thing that they correct the mistakes they made with Far Cry. That SDK was delayed for like forever, and many necesarry plugins were not included.

Far Cry has just been delayed btw to q1 2007 - they want to release it when vista's out because you'll only get the full graphics quality with Dx10 which will only be able to run on windows vista.

1) You mean Crysis.
2) What is your source for that?

Old news, it was already known that Crysis will be released with a DirectX9 and a DirectX10 renderpath. You thought they were gonna release the two versions apart from eachother?

No, crysis should originally have been released for christmas, the people would have had to wait for vista till tzhey could have played in high quality. DX10 would already be integrated, crytek already have developer-versions of DX10...

Cryteks founders and owners are half german/turkisch, not Czechs. The rest of the developers team is very international, so it would be wrong to speak only of german team.

The stuff we saw is actually using a special emulation of DX10, I guess its still dx9 in its core since DX10 isn't completely developed yet.

I am sorry, but you are totally wrong. The source is from a fansite called Crysis Online (http://www.crysis-online.com/forum/index.php/topic,141.0.html).

THESE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT OFFICIAL AND ARE ONLY SPECULATION.

Crytek/EA has not announced anything yet!

How do you know any games that come out after Crysis will actually be worth playing? The jury is still out on Crysis itself you know :5:

Not to mention there are still very very few DX10 games in production. I am still doubtful if it is really worth upgrading to Vista and getting a DX10-card the second its out. It might be wiser to wait at least until the second generation DX10 cards are out.

*waits for directx10.b* Very Happy

Rather wise if someone is willing to wait for a late DX10 upgrade.
