no I played it twice. That was my second spin, and I fluked it because I was putting cards up which I wanted to keep not get rid of (or the other way around).
I'd played the deal thing on the demo too but only like 2 spins again. Nice to see my demo save was compatible with the full game though. I put off playing it becuase I couldn't be arsed going through the opening sequences again but I still got bored after 20 mins of playing anyway. It's nice but I dont feel like i'm getting anyhere half the time and the constant 'you're trapped in a room, find the switch' is kinda annoying as well as the 'spend half an hour in a room looking for a switch to then realise you nave to go back the way you came and enter a different area'.
It's quite clever design and the graphics are nice, but like doom i'm getting sick of the same textures throughout (for the large part). I think it would have been better to limit the level designing so it made it better as well as getting rid of the whole 'death spirit/dragon collecting' thingy.

Way too linear compared to what? Most FPS' are "way too linear", including HL2.

Prey for XBox360 - 5 Gb in rars | lol. Thats because the 360 has to stream its data from disc, so to keep loading times down, they don't compress stuff as much as they would on PC. But 5GB's IS outrageous. lol

Actually, its 5 Gb in RARs, when unpacked, its probably much more, especially if Xbox360 games dont use compression for better loading times | lol. damn. >< an early 360 game taking up 5-7GB's on a 9gb capacity disc. Makes me worried for the future. lol.

Spoiler: | use spirit mode to walk through shields and disable them. Press the other console on each of them to pull down some kind of shield in front of a part of the wave. Shoot it, then drag out the power core, disabling the stream to the roof. Do this on all of them and you can fly up. |
| ah, found out ^^

Use the alternate fire of the hover craft thing. Like a tracotr beam. Aim at the blue square core thing and press right mouse button

Don't forget that console games use dummy files to get the important data as far out as possible (better reading speed).

Finished the game in around 7 hours..the ending is nice, wont spoil nothing.
PROS : Rendering, speed, graphics,Tommy's jokes and words
CONS: You use one or 2 of almost all of the other weapons to kill people (i use the rifle and the acid gun (acid for the last stages against flying zombies),TOO SHORT.......Being invincible sucks, thou it's original to get some life after death

No it's so big because it's a raw dump of the whole disc like all working Xbox 360 releases are. If you extract the useable data it will probably be around the same size of the PC version.

Half Life 2 utilise different kind of scenarios to different areas. In prey we have a bar at the beginning and then the rest is just one enviroment. And I already compared it with Doom 3...

It's still a linear game, but if you think about variety in gameplay and/or environment that is something else.

Hmm for me only the enviroment is unique, and thats only because of the wall walking. We had vehicles in plenty of other games.

well duh genius. they made it so the master server is blocked. so you wouldnt have to go thru the trouble of editing your host file. so of course you cant play online with thier crack. ppl woulda been bitchign that its not fully cracked because it still tries to connect to the master server and it woulda got nuked. so they did thier job right. wanna play onlin, then make a mini image or get the clone.

No it's a stupid crack, they could just have deleted the cdkey prompt smartass.
Therefore having the masterserver intact, and no faults.

lollercake: to fix the MP not working with the rld crack, go ingame and open console and type:
seta net_master0 209.131.124.233:27650
and serverlist should work
fear the led zeppelin that was!

Hey wasn't sure where to put this but I think everyone's got to see what Prey originally looked like back in '98 compared to now. Oh and besides that, this video actually proves that valve wasn't the first with the 'mobile portal technology' or whatever theyre calling it now. Oh, and little things like destructible environments and basic real-time physics in a fps is demonstrated, as well... Keep in mind it is running on a p2 266...
What could have been, eh? Damn you 3drealms...

hah exactly as i said valve flat out ripped of the portal idea. it could have been so much better if they kept it like that for the current version of prey, instead of removing the ability to make your own portals. and if they left in the destructabl environments that would have been 10x better.
