Icewind Dale:
Using the award-winning BioWare Infinity Engine developed by BioWare for Baldur's Gate, players create a party of adventurers in the frigid north to combat monstrous Cyclops's and frost giants that dwarf the player characters as they search for an evil lying deep within the Spine of the World. Icewind Dale offers character advancements from levels one through 15 in the most recent adaptation of the AD&D rules under license from Wizards of the Coast.

Icewind Dale - Heart Of Winter:
Continue the adventure in the Ten Towns with Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter, the expansion pack for Icewind Dale. From the award-winning Black Isle Studios, Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter uses Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules and is set in the Forgotten Realms universe. With additions that both increase playability, like the higher experience cap, and add the technical enhancements asked by consumers such as 800x600 screen resolution, Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter will continue the success that is expected from Black Isle Studios.

Icewind Dale 2:
Return to the frigid north of the Forgotten Realms in the sequel to the critically acclaimed Icewind Dale. This exciting high-fantasy action adventure unites 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules, new character classes and races. Enhancements such as auto balancing game-play and an upgraded Infinity Engine allow for more dynamic battles than ever before. Icewind Dale II delivers the depth of gameplay expected by Action-RPG fans while providing an attractive entry point players new to the genre.

Release Notes:

In the northernmost reaches of the FORGOTTEN REALMS lies the frozen
region known as Icewind Dale. Journey deep into the Spine of the World
mountains, a harsh and unforgiving territory teeming with fearsome and
merciless beasts. There you must confront an ancient evil that threatens
to unleash an unspeakable horror upon the face of Faer√n.

Continue the adventure in the Ten Towns with Icewind Dale: Heart of
Winter, the expansion pack for Icewind Dale. Includes additions that
increase playability and enhance and expand the adventure! Including
higher experience cap, gem bag and scroll case support, 6 main new areas
including Lonelywood, over 30 new higher level magic items, over 40 new
spells, and new monsters and NPCs. Heart of Winter is playable during or
after the original IceWind Dale.

In Icewind Dale 2, a grave new threat has arisen in the North, a threat
that seeks to seal off the Ten-Towns from the rest of Faer√n in a bitter
power struggle. A vicious horde of goblins, orcs, and bugbears has
gathered beneath the mysterious banner of the Chimera and are marching
on the port town of Targos. Fearing that they will be overrun, Targos
has sent out a call for all able-bodied adventurers, soldiers, and
mercenaries to sail north to stand with the town's defenders against the
encroaching horde... and you and your companions have answered the call.

Install Notes:

1. Unrar
2. Burn with a120 or mount.

CD2 + CD3 = Icewind Dale 2

Note to nukers: Google before you make fools of yourselves, this is very
real and not very American. Also, this is not a dupe. Im sure everyone
would rather burn 4 discs, instead of swapping between 5 cds. Also, dont
even start with the .mdf format for the dvds. A120 is still capable of
imaging non-protected discs. The scene already get enough incompetence
from all the nonworking crap releases being spammed lately, we really
don't need it from the nukers too.

As for the cheap bastards at Atari, You couldve gotten all of IWD to fit
on one dvd. You also could've released BG and IWD compilations worldwide.
Well, I guess we'll have to distro it for you, you can thank us later...

They should have included Tales of the Lurmaster with this. Its a free download, but still it would have been nice.

It's called Trials of the Luremaster, but yes, including the free addon and putting it ALL on one dvd would have been what I had expected from this set...

despite being less story-fleshed and less open ended than BGs, icewind dale was still captiving. fighting in ice lands, discovering new hidden villages with new quests, listening to great music scores..it had a mature feel and was incredibly addictive ..sigh (nostalgic moment)
