The thing Is...I would LOVE to play FL 2.. BUT.. If starforce gets to good "rating" In sales..Everyone would go that way In the end.. And that would, Like It seems now..Kill our chance to test games before buying them. (and those who don't buy, and just leech)
I choose not to play, and maybe I can rescue some of the games In the future. (eg, Flatout 3) (But If Noone buys the game...there will be no sequel.. ye I know..a bit flawed)

The arguments you sum up are not valid:
1. Many clone releases require the use of some other program (for example Alcohol, Daemontools, Securomloader, Curerom or Tetrisemu) so all this releases are not valid either?
2. It requires the use of an USB-drive, so what. Better a playable Usb-clone than no clone at all. It has to start somewhere, dont forget that the first Usb clone of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory lead ultimately to the development of Sfcure and Deamontools 4.0. Also external Usb-cases or IDE2USB-cables are not expensive.
3.It doesnt require a specific brand of burners, as long as the burner itself can handle DVD+RW.
4. The requirement of specific media is due to the fact the way Starforce checks the disc. If the dye on the CD-R or DVD-R ressembles the pressed Cd or DVD protected with Starforce it passes as original. Also the specific media requirement isnt new, remember Soldier: Heroes of WWII or Codename Panzers 1. Dont also forget that other mediacodes not listed in the nfo may also work, you just have to try to find out. And you really cant waste a DVD+RW!
5. Almost all clones of games protected with Starforce require that you unplug your IDE DVD-drives.
I can only say thanks to Unleashed for not giving up to get this game to work and release a quality clone (even if some think otherwise). And always remember to never ever buy a game protected with Starcrap!

2. Burn with Blindwrite 6.0, make sure to use discs with mediacode
DaxonD42,Philips041,INFODISC-A10-001,TDK601saku, DAXON AZ2,CMC W03.
3. Install.
4. Play from a external USB dvd drive,and make sure Blindwrite 6.0 is
installed on the system you want to use to play.
Note - SF4 will only work if burned with Blindwrite 6.

Unleased is maybe a little lame group but they release shit very fast and i like that bout them.
Just remeber it's the boyz from Unleased again that make it happin so that we can play this game so early. And f*ck the scene rulez if i can play my games it's all good no matter how the fuck i need to crack enmulate burn the sh*t out of it.

if you are to stupid to get this clone working or you are to stupid and lazy to go to the fucking store to buy this great game then... its you problem. If you think you can to better then go and make us a good clone DVD that works with DT4. Or better yet why dont you crack this game....
Im personally waiting until this game is available in stores where I live and then if the price is right I’m going to buy it.... even when there’s a release I’m still going to get it.
And what the hell is going on in here. To much bitching about the protection. HOW about talking about the game. How is the damage system, AI etc.

Правда сразу оговорюсь что тестил не с русской, а с international версией Flatout 2, поскольку на copybase.ch миниобраз от неё. Защита одинаковая на обеих версиях, StarForce 4.0.09.01 так что всё должно работать и с русской версией, главное правильный образ сделать.
1. Использовал Windows Vista Beta 2 Ultimate Build 5384.4.
2. Установил версию DAEMON Tools 4.0.3 X86, с обновлённым 03.07.2006 драйвером SPTD1.25 (кстати версия с SPTD1.24 на Висту ставиться не хотела),перезагрузился.
3. Вышеуказанный правильный образ с copybase.ch, смонтировал в DAEMON Tools.
4. Установил саму игру.
5. Пришлось установить DirectX 9 с диска Flatout, под 10-м, встроенным в Висту Flatout 2 не запускался.
6. Установил драйвера Старфорс по запросу игры, перезагрузился.
7. Запустил игру, всё работает

I've just installed Windows Vista Beta 2 5384.4 32bit. Then i installed manually the new SDTP 1.25 driver, and do a reboot. Next, i installed the newest Daemon Tools (4.03), and mounted the mds/mdf wich i've made form that crappy iso (dj eclipse). The mds is form that .ch site (i dont remember it's domain...). Finally i installe dthe game, and launched it. SF4 asked me toinstall their driver and reboot. I did it, and now, the game works FINE.
