Is there any way to convert a small video file into all out audio file and cut on the size ?
Windows XP SP2
Asus A7N8X Deluxe 2.0
Athlon XP2500 @ 2.4GHz (overclocked)
1GB Corsair XMS DDR400 (overclocked)
Radeon 9700 Pro (overclocked)
2x60GB Maxtor 7200/8MB
TDK CD/RW 52x32x52
TDK DVD Burner 8X/8X
10MBit Cable

Open the video in Sony Sound Forge, select the audio track, copy and paste it into a new document and save it as mp3/ogg/or whatever format you need. You might be able to do this in another audio editor but I'm not sure which ones support video like Sound Forge.
Most video editors like Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere should allow you to do this too.

or just use virtualdub and save the audio as a wav and convert that to mp3.

Hmmm, I cant figure out how to save a mpg file that is about 4mb into an mp3 in virtualdub ... can you guide me thru ?

Load up the file and go to the streams menu and then stream list, select the stream and hit save wav. You can then convert it to mp3 in the usual way.
