f you are one of those unfortunates that switched cd-key's for whatever reason and you can no longer load your character, follow these steps.
I highly recommend you BACKUP YOUR CHARACTER before following these steps:
1. Start the game using your OLD cd-key.
2. Load your savegame for the character you want to transfer.
3. Open Cheat Engine (google for it) or your favorite cheat tool
4. Attach Cheat Engine to the Titan Quest.exe process
5. Do a TEXT search and search for your cd-key. Include the dashes, type it exactly as it is in your registry key (should match your manual)
6. It will find 2 addresses.
7. Modify both addresses and put in your NEW cd-key
8. Ignore any wierd errors that come up. I got a few and I ignored them and it seemed ok
9. Inside Titan Quest, bring up the option menu and choose SAVE GAME.
10. Now quit everything and switch to your NEW cd-key in the registry.
Congratulations you have transferred your character!
