It makes a lot of better!!...
Earn money and hire mercenaries add a lot "Jagged" feel to the game... And I love the new custom dificulty system. The damage weapons factor is cool addition too.

About two months ago I imported a Russian version of the game - original of course, Star Force protected. It is standalone on 2 CDs, takes 3,2 GB installed, and there is a patch already... Just for curiosity got MONEY's release. Seems to work standalone also (at least doesn't want to install in the same directory as original Silent Storm), but its only 1GB installed and 1 CD. Another strange thing: it's not patched (version dated April 2004, and patch came out in July). Different kind of copy protection too. Haven't checked what are the differences in gameplay... if there are any.
Great game though. Really worth buying. And Russian version is only 10$! The drawback is, of course, that you have to speak Russian...

Just as a note, the C&C Generals expansion didn't install in the Generals directory either, it made a new one.

hey anyone else experiencing probs with this release? i am not sure but the gun firing sounds missing prob maybe the one i experienced with silent storm. they eventually came out with a patch fixing this. i remember the one way to fix this before the patch was to run the ace codec pro pack, do a full install of the codecs, hit 'yes' for erasing all previous codecs. apparently it was a prob with the game conflicting with some codecs. try this pms and let me know if it works.

Strange, I'm sure I heard gunshots in the MONEY's version. Probably it's codecs problem. Go to official forums of Nival (www.nival.ru). Probably you're not alone...

yup gunshots heard in my game. also i dont think there is supposed to be an intro movie. guess they figured the ss2 one was so lame they wouldnt bother this time around. but thats just fine with me-the gameplay speaks for itself. oh and gotta love the custom difficulty settings. which is a good thing cuz on hard im getting my ass handed to me on a plate by those gangster sobs. anyways back to the game. <scampers off>

Well, I had only time to finish 2 or 3 missions, but panzerkleins are there... they were promising no s-f this time, but probably decided to postpone it until real Silent Storm 2. Which is fine with me, I don't feel offended by laser weapons and panzerkleins. I heard they rebalanced the game though - in the 1st part panzerkleins were so slow and easy to destroy that I never used them.

Anyone else not able to get this to start? I followed the directions in the .nfo and when i double click on sentinels.exe nothing happens (the game doesn't launch) and a new file "mo.exe" is created.
Have all the newest drivers, DX9, SP2 etc. Also tried restoring to a point prior to sp2 install and had the same problems.
Any help would be appreciated, I was really looking forward to this addon too =(,
