When I try to run the game, it passes the protection perfectly with curerom. But in the first screen of the game it says "Virtual memory must be enabled to run Titan Quest". Anyone know what is the problem? It´s the fist time this happens to me. Thank you Smile

The problem is Curerom. Try with what's told in the NFO and it'll work perfectly.

Yeah it works but try to guess how long it will take before it crashes and then youl win a teddy bear!!

On a more serious note, it randomly crashes whenever it wants to. For instence me, it crashed on the menu trying to press Start Single player quest, then it crashed when I talked to the seller in the first village, then it crashed trying to go in the map menu...ect ect...

So indeed we need a stable crack, untill then be patient yougn ones Smile

Burned with Alcohol.120.v1.9.5.3823 and went with the settings specified in the nfo , then uninstalled alcohol and put virtual driver in daemon tools to 0 and enabled all emulation in daemon tools.

Works fine, no need for compat mode

Another vote for the burn, did exactly as it said in the nfo except i didn't disable the virtual drive i had and it works flawlessly.

Using the asr method it crashed every 5 minutes for me.

I think some people's problems are caused by mounting the .mdf instead of the .mds file. If we end up having only the .mdf file, is it possible to create the .mds file from the .mdf file?

Thanks!

Trying to install image mounted with Daemon Tools 4.03 (all emulations off or on changes nothing)

I always get an error box like this:

"Titan Quest"

"An error (-5003 : 0x5) has occurred while running this setup."

"Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications.
If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: Iron Lore (##ID_STRING32##)."

"Error Code: -5003 : 0x5
Error Information:
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1814)
PAPP:Titan Quest
PVENDOR:Iron Lore (##ID_STRING32##)

$11.50.0.42618
@Windows XP Service Pack 2 (2600) BT_OTHER 232.64"

WTF?? Can somebody say whats this and how can I install this game? Razz

I have this problem with both Unleashed and Txt-(or-something) -release. Does anybody have any clue what to do with this? Please?

Forget all this BS!

There's already a crack out Smile Titan Quest v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE - RELOADED

And with this those "crash issues" should also be fixed Wink

I had no problem with the Demo but now I'm having problems with the sound.
Ambient, music and dialogue sometimes freezes for a couple of seconds and then continues.

It may not sound so bad but when you are trying to listen to a good story told by one of the storytellers in town it's starting to get annoying.
Then you want to roam the wheatfield and slaughter satyrs but suddently the birds die, and my traveling orchestra has a stroke for a couple of seconds and I'm not so immersed in the world any longer.

So I can either go crazy trying to cope with this annoyance or I can play the game with complete silence except from the occassional "uff":s and "ugh" and the sound of people dying.

Is this a known error or not because I haven't been able to find any info on it... ?
I'm using Windows XP Pro 64-bit Edition and Realtek On-board sound. I really don't think it matters though since it worked fine in the demo but something must have happend on the way to the packaging I guess..?

I'm beginning to suspect that these short freezes are SecuROM checks, because the demo didn't have 'em. SecuROM, lame as they are, added checks to see if ASR.exe (SecuROM Loader) is running. That is why it keeps crashing using ASR.
The crashes magically stopped after renaming ASR.exe to Runme.exe Wink SecuROM people must be very desperate
Anyway, The game also runs great using CureROM 2.03.

daemon tools + ASR + prot stop = no crashes

ok guys i did have the crashes when even using asr but when using Protstop and ASR i have no more crashes. the reloaded crack came out today and using that by itself theres still crashes. Using the method above i still get slowdowns which i would assume are securom checks but it dosent crash the game.
someone posted in the titan quest unleashed post about using prot stop and ASR and its working for me.

daemon tools + ASR + prot stop = no crashes.
havent tried renaming asr.exe as suggested aboveyet might work

I made it work for me atleast.
Problems I had was that it crashed all the time, exiting cave, and tons of times before i reached sparta... tried it atleast 20 times and it kept crashing, I could not even load my character in the end.
I solved it by reinstalling, not using the crack. downloading the mini-image from gamecopyworld.com. mounting that in DT4, no emulation, and used ASR (SecureROM Loader 1.2) to start the game.

Played around 10-12h now without any problems at all, no sound-glitches no nothing.

Hope it works for some of you.

This was the Reloaded release, not using any compatibility mode or prot.stop. just did exactly what i wrote.

For those with crashing problem

GAYLESS presents TITAN QUEST *FiX* for Reloaded iso:

FiX notes :

The Game checks if the serial has been keygened or if it's true original.
If the serial is keygened it lets you believe it's correct but
the game crashes (error in stlport_vc7146.dll not in rld's exe).

So here are the steps to play with RLD iso if you already installed
their release and if you have crashes:

1) Remove your profiles (glooops) deleting the following dir :

"x:\Documents and Settings\xxx\My documents\My Games\Titan Quest"

2) Run Regedit and edit the key :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Iron Lore\Titan Quest
"CD Key"="xxxx"
replace the reloaded Key (xxxx) and paste the 2d key (not the first but the second)
from unleashed ! (unleashed prolly gave a true cdkey (the 2d one)) and a keygened one...

3) Play and have fun with a 100% working game.

No use to blame Reloaded cracker, but blame the lame reloaded keygener Wink
Maybe the extra cdkey check is located in "stlport_vc7146.dll", let's hope
they will fix, saving the face Smile
