Has anyone tried it with the original ps2 controler, the dual shock? If yes, are there the same problems with the analog sticks or not?

I used this to map my controller to keyboard and it let me swap the sticks. but the game still recognizes the pad plugged in and uses the controls i set for the pad. im going to try only remapping the analog sticks and see if that works.
http://www.redcl0ud.com/controlmk/index.html
ok just swapping the analog sticks works. actually you dont even have to swap em. just bind wasd to the first stick.
now i need a solution to why the game crashes when ingame movies play specifically the boss for lvl 2.

nice job. i had this under my nose the whole time and dint even think of mapping wasd to te stick. its a little sensitive but better than nothin.
heh ironically enough im using a key mapper for another foriegn capcom port. Megaman X7. since it has no gamepad support. dunno what it is about capcom and its korean/jap pc ports. they get done really bad.

theres nothign wrong with this port other than the control thing and thats because its jap. pretty sure the US rls will have standard controls.

Hey all..
Im sorry if Im whining but this game should have stayed on the PS2, reasons
1) Better Graphics; A necessity for all the modern PC games, doesnt look much different than the PS2 version. Even at 1024x768 it looks shit. I think there's no AA, no AF, no advnaced graphics options.
2) On my system (A64 3500+, 2GB, 7800GT) it drops the FPS significantly (upto 15) when there are multiple enemies on screen and during boss fights. So where's the optimisation?
3) Absolutely horrible controls. Is it very difficult to assign proper functions to the esc and enter keys. Whats with the switched analogs. After a hour or two of frustration and help from this board, I solved this. But still it should have been their job.
4) Crappy menu. Like I said before, no advanced video and audio options. No exit tab. Its a labyrinth.
So IMO its just another way to make easy money. Sometimes it makes me feel its running on an internal emulator or something.
I know i got the game for free. But we're all testers here. We download a game, see if its good. If it is then we buy it. And we get worried about the way PC gaming is constantly shafted by the developers.

1) the game looks upgraded to me PS2 cant do resolutions this high
2) im on a Athlon Xp 3000+ and theres shit goin on 24/7 ive never seen any slowdown.
3) this is a japanese rls. you have to understand they have different standards for controls over there so dont expect ESC or any other control to be anythign youd be used to. other than that its very simple to config the controls.
4) Why do people alwyas need advanced video menu's? just turn on aa/af from your gfx cards control panel like you had to do in the old days, its not difficult. and what do u mean no exit tab? theres a big ass EXIT button at the bottom of each menu.
You're playing a japanese release that has pretty much everything standard for thier games, so theres no reason to complain whatsoever. IF the US rls had any of these problems, (only which control is any issue since the rest of the game is fine) then complani. till then just play and enjoy and get used to the way japs have thier windows games.

ive solved my problem yet im still posting here, why... maybe cuz you guys are such easy targets.
1.) Maybe since you were born in the 90's you feel graphics = gameplay. im from the past where gameplay was all we had. i feel sorry for you.
2.) lol. despite being born in the 90's i feel sorry for you being so computer illiterate. my video card is like 2-3 years older than yours and i get solid 60fps at 1280. one day you will learn how to work your pc then you will be able to figure out why you're getting such crappy framerates on a game like this with such 1999 system requirements. until then LOL.
3.)dont you think you're being a tad over dramatic? the only issue with the controls is that the analog stichs are switched, and im told thats because this is the japanese version. something im inclined to believe from looking at the ini files. Also if you played a game other than quake once in a while you would notice that most games dont just let you assign any key you want because some buttons are needed for system functionality. again computer literacy would go a long way towards you knowing this.
4.)again, whats wrong with the menu? it has all the options you need. the game is automatically using DX for the sound theres nothing you need to mess with, its emulation which is why this is called a port. it doesnt have an exit tab like i said this is a port, when you are finished with your ps2 theres no OS to go back to you just turn it off. if you had read the fucking manual (reading is a skill your generation seems to be lacking/ spelling too) you would see that to exit the game you only need to press alt+f4. this is a system command common across every single version of windows since 3.0. computer literacy would have taught you that.
it is a way to make money, because we want games and they want money, problem solved. yes it is running on an emulator, if you had some sort of computer knowledge beyond pressing the on button and whining like a bitch you would know what ->porting<- is and means.
Yes, you did get the game for free, you always get the game for free, you pirate, wait no you dont, you steal games off of the internet just like the rest of us yet you seem to have convinced yourself you are a game tester and not a thief. which is why im puzzled by all the whining people do these days on warez forums.
anyway im outta here. thanks for the help froz, and co.
-peace.

ACME420, Whats wrong with you man?
Do you have something personal against me???
Whats with the personal attacks?
Do you work for Ubi or Capcom?
And for me:
Gameplay + graphics = game worth buying. One element missing and its a no no... Sorry to disappoint you but its personal preference. You'll understand when you grow up. No offence.
Its common for a PC game to have indepth options so you are in control. If you played any PC games recently, you'd know.
I dont think Im computer illiterate. But then, I dont want to look retarded by arguing with you.
Icedfreon, I'll force AA and AF in the control panel and let you know. And by the way, the image you posted, doesnt look all that good to me, jaggies everywhere...
