This is quite old - two or so days. Anyway, interesting point is that 500 GhZ was achieved by super cooling the core; however - 300 GhZ and above could be achived in room temperature, which is actually more fascinating than anything. And this is prototype 1, expect MUCH higher frequencies in the future.

It's pretty good news I guess. I always thought that it's imposible for silicon chips to achive these clock speeds.
