not at the moment, you can use backups on xbox live, don't expect it to last forever, but who knows, enjoy while you can but don't come crying when and if you do get banned at a later date

Thats the reason why i'm sceptical to this... i think i'll wait for a while and see what happens

different hardware revisions of the same drive i think, each has its own firmware version.
the lable on top of the drive should say the version no.

stupid how the region's are done.
PAL has EURO , UK , AUSTRALIA
so a EURO wont work on a UK and vice versa
had already downloaded a few games but they ended up being UK and i got a EURO

well thats what i make out of certain things i was told
however alot of games are released as PAL/ No region or something similar
and they seem to work,
i am going to try to confirm this tomorow
as i have downloaded 3 games with this in the info and 4 more in queue.
so i will test this as soon as i get some DL DvD's tomorow

as long as the PAL release has English lang listed then normally they work fine, Think you'll find AUS PAL is the same as UK/PAL, alor odf the release are now already pre-patched with the correct SS file and info on what region in the NFO

All consoles sold in europe will play all games available in europe and region free NTSC games confirmed to work on PAL EU consoles.
AUS PAL is a separate PAL region, as is Africa, Middle East, Russia and many more asian countries that were under british or other european colonialism. Russia is techincally "MESECAM-II" which stems from their idiotic attempt to prevent their people from viewing western broadcasts (and thus the truth), but its mostly a cencorship attempt and partially an attempt to standardise color broadcasts unilaterally.
You will find that NTSC (USA, Canada, Mexico, pan-america, south-america, Japan) has the same kind of regions. Japan and South Korea has NTSC for similar reasons to colonialism, as in the US occupations.
007 has all the gadgets. Batman has a utility belt! 007 drives a fancy car. Batman has the Batmobile! 007 gets all the ladies. Batman has ROBIN!!!

well if you try a game which mentions to be a PAL/UK and your xbox is a PAL/EURO
then it wont work, or the release is bad.
like i tried this one, a friend had it on his external HD and i copied over the files
Ghost_Recon_PAL_(UK)_PRE-PATCHED-=DeViLs360=-
my xbox is bought in Germany when i was working there(live in Belgium)
the backup would not play, while fight night round 3 worked which was a PAL/Free Region(or something like it)

that would be correct, thats why the uploader such as them -=DeViLs360=- state the region, all -=DeViLs360=- are UK source for UK people
and if your not sure on a multi region you just check

or even check the efnet channel that they reside in

i think its best to only download releases which mention that your drive has to be flashed with the extreme firmware.

yep most of them are the p[re-patched ones, alot of the older ones do work but need correct SS region files, but liek you said alot are getting re-released pre-patched to help confused noobs

PAL UK works on PAL EUROPE consoles. I have already downloaded all UK pre-patched games and burned them. They all work. Example of thi sone is Kameo or Top-Spin 2 UK and so on.
If it doesn't worl for you, it must be another problem then regio.

I flashed my drive etc and NOW i found out that my dvd burner doesnt burn (or change) to DVD-ROM!

how exactly do i burn a xbox 360 backup ? i don;t get it do i need to patch SS or something... and after changing firmware do i need to use my DVD key anywhere ... is there a complete tuturial out there?

the good releases do not require a thing to be changed
just use clonecd and do burn from file.
