A number of ppl also report that securom loader and all other tools still net the "no backup" msg and the game doesnt start for them. Any help on that front from the more experienced and more knowledgeable cats out there?

For those of you the game crashes for, the problem lies in the secum detection scheme, you can do the following as a workaround, which has worked for me.
mount the image in dt4, disable all emulation, use pr0t st0p hide virtual drives, run game through asr, enjoy hours of gaming Smile

asr.exe is the securom loader executable. The app itself.

Whats the point of releasing when the game is capable of 6 player CO-OP?

Is there a limit on how many players using same key? or is it 1 cdkey per copy ?

1 player per key in same game.

What? It sounds like you can't read properly.

How hard is it to understand?

OK this release is fucked until a keygen is released, no doubt that reloaded will be doing that.

ANND now for a solution that actually works.

Install the latest a120. Put a blank dvdr in the drive. Burn titan quest to it with RMPS checked in the burn menu. Uninstall a120. Disable all vdrives in daemon tools. Turn on RMPS in the dtools emulation menu. Play the game.

Works perfectly.

forget the game, I am having serious issues navigating the game menu. When I click a button or option, it either doesnt respond or responds after 10 seconds. I saw the DotNet framework installer in the DVD, and I suspect they used some of that crap to code the game or at least the menu UI. Also in game the dialogues cut off and there is a pause and then resumes after 4-5 seconds. So far the game hasnt crashed but then I spend most of the time setting options in the game menu, took me about 15 mins to set all the options the way I wanted them.

I did everything you said, mounted game image in DT4, disable all emu, used pr0t st0p to hide the virtual drive and run the game using ASR as usual. Same crashes as before.

The solution I posted works perfectly. Clearly you guys are doing something wrong.

Get the latest version of a120. 1.9.5.4212 = latest.

Burn it with RMPS checked.

Uninstall a120.

Disable all virtual drivers in dtools.

Enable RMPS in the dtools emulation menu.

If it doesn't work after doing this you are doing something wrong.

Install Daemon Tools 4.03 (if you don't have it already) and mount image

Get SecuROM Loader and put it where you installed the game: http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_8.shtml#SecuROM Loader

Run asr.exe and pick TitanQuest.exe

You don't have to uninstall jack shit that way Razz

I tried that first because its the rec. method that stands in the nfo. But strangely i get the securom "its a backup" msg. It has to have to do with the system or some app that me and a cpl of others seem to have installed but as long as we cant locate that problem were fracked. Anyone having intel on that, a bunch of peeps would greatly appreciate that.

Wrong. I started the game with ASR on one of my computer and it locked up and crashed every 15 seconds.

My other machine ran it perfectly with ASR.

However, with a properly burned copy, both machine can play it and it doesn't lock up at all.

The hook ASR makes to the exe to bypass securom makes this game crash.

Follow my directions, and assuming your drive can read securom'd discs, and you never had anti-blaxx installed, it will run.
