k ive been helpin people out the past day gettin this stuff workin.... did u replace ur clientregistry.blobl properly? common problem.... where you should replace it while steam is running then once its replaced exit (not exit and logout) of steam. Also did you use your steam USERNAME not e-mail when editing the .cfg file? Make sure the path is correct and make sure u made the shortcut... also some people need to change: the Steam AppID (should look like this SteamAppId=92 to fix 104 errors)

ok so i wanna play v3 but it's fucking doesn't work it crashes after connect i change the engine.dll but now i can't play online coz of the protocol is there a fix for that ?

Ok Version 3 isnt properly cracked yet so you have to dl the cssource_v2dllsplayable_emporio.rar and replace the files (will let u play on version 2 cracked servers)..... and edit out the link ... cause thats just as bad as postin an FXP board on here.... btw forum moved

*shrug* maybe ill play it when HL2 comes out... I tried that beta, just doesnt tickle my fancy, too much work for too little. There are better tactical shooters out there right now, but who knows, maybe it will be better with HL2. And the weapon models still suck, so Ill have to get a new weapon pack when full comes out.

Ever heard of Half.Life.2.Beta.HL1Ports-ANON? Not so much fun, the same low-res textures.

Ever heard of Half.Life.2.Beta.HL1Ports-ANON? Not so much fun, the same low-res textures. |
that was an early version, someone later reworked some of those maps with new textures and enemies from HL2 and it looked really nice.
HL1 on Source could look as good as CS:Source.

I almost went out and bought CZ just for this beta, but then realized what I was thinking and am just going to wait for HL2 to come out so I can then play CS:Source and all the other mods

They probably just said that because they have a deal with ATI.
And seriously, can't trust Valve anymore.
It would make no sense if ATI cards would perform better with HL2.
The floating point precision problem that the FX series had has been solved with the new cards and the 6800 is faster than the X800 basically everywhere (everywhere but with 1600x1200 8xAA 16xAF but who plays like that anyway?) so there is simply no reason for the 6800 to be slower than the X800 in HL2 unless valve does some "optimizations" which reduce geforce performance directly.

I highly doubt Valve will deliberately reduce performance on nvidia cards. What would they have to gain from this?! They will probably optimise the game so that it is more suited to ATI cards but there is nothing wrong with that.
ID did the same with Doom 3 and Nvidia cards I think. The differences in the way cards work mean that a game will most likely run better on one type than another and they are obviously going to favour the ATI cards.

i got the geforce 6800 GT 256 mb and i run the game everything maxed out with an fps of around 70, i played 8vs 8
CPU: P4 3GHz RAM: 1GB DDR400 VideoCard: Geforce 6800 256mb GT

it was good, some amazing stuff especially on the awp. still bugs i noticed:
- the uglieness of the colt
- the crapness of all the good guns, only the mp5 controls the same if not a lil better. pistols work better too
- when puttin on silencers u can still right click q q and attach it fast
- u can jump inside barrels but it puches u out
- u can kick milk cartons it moves away and u move backwards
- throwin guns is slow a few times at the end of a round ive not picked up in time
- when u plant the bomb if u put in like 1 number drop it and pick it up again when u plant itll be complete
- when planting/in deatch cam sometimes the bomb can be see through
- the lights on the floor look pretty shitty
- it has no FF alerts
thats all the Bugs i found. its still a great game though and gonna kickass when is complete. =)

FF alerts not needed its obvious.
Lights are perfect for me must jsut be ur gfx card or something or u dont have it on high.
and all my guns look really good.

'preloading' today. this is all a big extortion technique to get people to buy CS:CZ or go to their offical cyber cafes.
can't stand this goddamned company, I would of liked it better if they just gave it to fileplanet subscribers, then I could at least just pay $10 and be done with it. no way will I give them money for CS:CZ, no matter how many times they pop up ads to me in steam about it.

I had a feeling they'd ruin it even more. See now they have standards to live up to and a fanbase to appease. If they just pump the same old crap all the time, they are going to learn real fast why it is important to be innovative.

when you do that you just cancel the animation, the silencer isn't actually attached faster, you can't shoot until the animation would have ended just like in the normal CS
