Hi,
I need to get myself a new desktop (been working on a laptop vor almost 3 years now) but i'm not really up to date when it comes to hardware.
I found this computer that looks pretty decent for a good price but i'd like to have your opinion on it first (especially on the gfx card) and how long you think i will be able to work/play with it without having to upgrade (buying a computer now and being forced to upgrade the graphic card/ RAM/processor in less thatn 4 months doesn't seem worth it).

Well maybe you need to replace that graphic card... what are you willing to pay for that alone?

Never heard of that gfx card before, which can't be good. But other than that, 1gb of ram, nice proccy, 250gb space. Looking pretty decent, with space for expansion. But they don't list the motherboard, which could be a worry?

If you built that yourself it would cost around $350.... Build one yourself if you want to make the most of your money. I built this comp last year for $1300 and it would rip that one to utter shreds. If you need me to build a computer for you, give me a price point and I'll look stuff up for you and give you links to it I've got nothing better to do

EWWWWWW, thats outdated now ...
I just bought a LeadTek WinFast 7800GS (AGP).
If you plan to play games i suggest you buy a GFX card of the newest generation ( GeForce 7 series ... or latest ATI range)
Or you can get an older card ... bu expect to be upgrading pretty soon anyway ...

Thanks for the many replies. After posting this i was looking up how much it would cost me if built it myself and it would indeed be way better. (i don't need to satellite reception on my desktop ) so i think i'm going to go that way instead of buying this. Chances are i buy an average graphics card for now (just enough to play current games) and upgrade to a direct X 10 card when they are released next year.
Anyone know a decent but not too expensive graphics card that could get me going until the dx10 are released?
thx again

or x1800gto
i just bougth one, unlocked it to 16 pipelines (x1800xl stats) and overclocked it like hell.
if you decide to buy one - make sure it's from connect3d or his since only those are unlockable.
