I'm trying to Install Ubuntu Linux 6.06 (Dapper Drake) on a laptop that already has windows on it but i wan't both. BUT i've tried Partition Magic and the partitioner on the ubuntu install disk to partition the hard drive. I've tried both the Desktop Cd and the Alternate Install CD. Umm, oh yeah and the error message it gives in partition magic is something like "Too many errors" and the ubuntu install says: Failed to create enough space for the install" even though there is enough of space. And another thing. i have defragged the disk like 600 million times!!
