You probably have the wrong crack installed, there is one for EF and another for AF.

Not much use if you can't play AF and EF online, best to stick with the seperate cracks for now.

Code: | Electronic Arts has released a new (beta) patch for Battlefield 2, bringing this sequel game to v1.50. The update adds Highway Tampa as a required map, as well as a new map called Operation Blue Pearl. In addition, changes have been made to both the J10 and F35B to make them more balanced. Note that the J10 is a superior dogfighter to the F35B and as such these two aircraft will never be equally matched. |

Sadly nothing about widescreen support, I guess will have to heep using WidescreenFixer.

Or do like I do:
BF2 gets it's WS support through a Command Line edit:
"F:\Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

This is just a widescreen resolution, not actual proper widescreen support. Top and bottom of the screen gets cut off.

True but still gets you the feeling of widescreen, and this wont get you banned by punkbuster. And since Punkbuster announced they dont endorse widescreen fixer since it fiddles with files then I wont dare to get banned by using it.... Sure its good for offline play

Hell yes! Making booster packs free is a very good decision but people will still bash EA no matter what.
Hopefully they'll make BF2142 booster pack free too

BF2 is amongst the most popular online games, so think again.

Giving away the booster packs for free is actually an incredibly altruistic, but mostly clever, move. I doubt it will offer anything new to existing players, who have most likely already purchased them a long time ago, but it most certainly produces an incentive for new players.
I'm impressed.
Well done EA. Well done indeed.

I never bought any booster packs cause i knew it was going to be a failure. BF2: SF lasted like 2 months. When i played BF2: SF nearly 2 years ago, theres was 2 servers up
