Is there anyway to change the language back to english after applying the german patch?

It is simpe - please, edit text file (relative to game directory) Data\Setup.txt - string "LAN 0" in the end must be changed to "LAN 1". That's all. Good luck!

So that fixes both the problem with team members you leave in cities disappearing and the language?
Why does the language cause people you've left in cities to disappear?
[edit] I reinstalled and applied all those changes, so far so good. Save works, and its english with the patch. I'm still having the problem where if I leave someone in a town to work the town, they'll show up on the map as being in the town and I have a gold star on the town. they remain there until I come back to the town, and then disappear when I do. I don't think that is supposed to happen. I think they're supposed to be standing where I left them.

They've released another patch to fix a few items: http://www.comport-interactive.com/download/GZ-Patch-10062006.zip
With all the changes implemented I was able to play a game to conclusion last night, conclusion being me controlling all the towns. I guess its open ended.

Its interesting now that the game breaking problems have been removed.
Check the forum linked to earlier for a list of what items are required to make/fix what.
I might do up a bit of a guide. My one piece of advice is if you want to get ahead adn not have it take all damn day, as soon as you get everyone with some knives and what not, recruit a meat shield and attack a trader. They have enough bullets to take out a level 3 guy and then they have to start punching a couple shots after that. If you have 4 or 5 guys armed with knives you can swarm them and outfit all your guys with uber gear.
They drop military equipment, ak47, and anything they had available for trade.
