There are shitloads of mods which tweak/removes/changes the levelling system, so I don't get why people are whining about it, when they can change it.

It'll take many more months or even years before any of them is balanced right, it's not like someones 10-20 minutes "hack" will make the leveling system perfect.

That is true, but still they work as good as the normal level-scaling system. And many of the mods have been thoroughly tested too, not some 10 minute hack like you claim.

I am still really enjoying this game. It doesn't seem like they level so much with you. I have a enchanted glass longsword 20 fire damage. I am able to take on multiple foes. Most enemies get hit by a critical strike on the final blow and fly through the air. At first i was dissapointed being level 10 and having the same goblin i used to kill stomping me. Once i made it a few more levels though it was like i rose above their level cap and they are all weak again.

is there a way to skip the initial sewer crawling part. it was so annoying and boring I stopped playing, but considering that there is nothing to play right now other than the occasional FIFA world cup match, I am thinking of installing it again.

miniscule part of game, gone in the blink of an eye. Get to the end and you shall see the beginning of the real game.

game is great... still on my hdd... played it for about 30 hours -and in march was my last savegame-, so i keep it just for the record. gfx is wonderful. gameplay is not THAT fine. after 30 hours i think its enough. -30 hours in these days are a lot-.

Played with two characters now. First one around 60 hours, this one around 90.
This is not your avarage 30-hour game for me.
Needless to say I'm loving it.

Finally , after spending 100hours on one character (Battlemage with thieves skills improved in the last 25h of the game Very Happy ) , i've decided to stop playing it (at least for a while ...)

I'm level 42 with 153 quest done (MQ, All the 4 guilds , daedric quests, town quests and the 2 ridiculous addons) . I really found the game very good but i wouldn't say it was a great one.
I think there were too many "Go There - Kill Him/Them - Bring Back the Object" quests and only a few ones (especially in the Dark Brotherhood guild) were really good and fun . The main quest story was IMO insipid and quiet boring Sad

I'm now waiting for Gothic 3 and have high hopes for this one. I guess we'll have less eye-candy effects but i'm almost sure that the story will more interesting. I've already played Gothic 2 and i really found that the universe feels more alive and it's a more mature world .

Morrowind out of the box was a turd. I played it at the same time as Gothic2 and the world in Morrowind seemed dead and static by comparison.

But by the time I revisited Morrowind a year later and installed 224 mods, there is nothing like it. The level of customization and addons that you can have are amazing. For awhile I spent more time adding mods and cleaning them with Taseme than playing the game!

i dont like this game either, but the only reason is, i dont like the morrowind genre. i have no doubt that i would love it if i liked the genre but i dont. maybe i should rephrase it: i dont like this game genre, but the game is nicely done Smile

"Previous release by "Unleashed" was really a lame beta. Not really v1.1b but really 1.1.14xx BETA."

Wow that TNT guy is really retarded. How should Unleashed release the real v1.1 crack when there was only the 1.1 Beta patch out at that time ?

Really proud of you. Keep the rate up and you'll manage to install a second game within the next 2 years. Laughing

Does this game have problems with Vista x64? I have frequent crashes. I thought it was due to a memory leak or something because it crashes after 2-3 hours of playing, but the game doesn't even use more than 1GB.
