Hello guys, I was planning to sell HL2 (states for Half Life 2 if you didn't get it N00B!) because it wasn't as perfect as I thought and because I wouldn't ever play it again due to all the disgusting setup.. I was thinking on eBay but I've got a question to resolve first. During the installation at some point it asked me to enter the cd-key to validate my copy, so, could someone else but me install it and use the same key to register it to another account (you had to create an account using that key)? Someone knows where can I erase my account? Can the same key be used/registered for more than one single person? Thanks in advance!

you have to sell your account not your key.

well, sorry if too offtopic but I just didn't want to register on steam forums just to ask this. I guess I'll have to do it if I want a more sophisticated answer.

Once you used the cd-key it cannot be used again. If you want to sell your game you will have to sell your account (username and password)

correct. once you register the cd key, it is bound to the account.

you can, however, move games from one account to another, if you have prove ownership (take a pic of the box/key). refer to www.steampowered.com and check the support
