It's much easier to just use a cracked steam client and the gcf's. Very Happy

No. All is needed to do with PROViSION release is download and unpack. Also I can burn it onto dvdr for later use easily.

Did the game crashed for everyone in the end and didnt show the trailer for episode 2? and does the update 1 fix that thing?

i am getting this error at random spots during the game (even when disconnected from the internet) AMD X2 3800+ Dual Core (2 ghz) 1GB Dual Channel Ram X1600 Pro (512mb) PCI-e running everything at max settings

Yeah, same here. I still completed the game as it was. I didn't have any texture issue. Same with you?

In the middle of the game, it crashed in every loading, and then it got better. So i didn't do anything with it.

Hmmm, ok. Its the game anyway. So, nothing to do with your computer. I never disconnected from the internet. But i think the game crashed like 6 or 7 times from start to end.

well, the game 'bug' is definently reproduceable. It crashed in the same exact spot every time before i d/c'ed my internet...and now crashes in the same spot every time now

Damn, thats sad. I never had the same problem when quickloaded and came to the loadling place it crashed, so supricingly enough it just happend once at the different loading crashing places. Sounds like you got other problems. But its the game of course. :/

Finished this last night, i personally thought it was just as good as HL2 just more of the same. Looking forward to next episode. BTW used Provision release with no problems at all. All i did was blacklist the .exe in my Outpost Firewall blocked applications list

Do I need the update if I'm already using a DX9 videocard ? It says fixes default easy. Can I manually adjust the difficulty without this update ? I do not hail Caesar

just completed the game and the only thing I think it's worth playing for is that one moment when you fight the zombies in those dark underground garages and suddenly my flashlight goes off. I hear zombie grawls behind me - so I turn around and turn on the flashlight but instead of another zombine I see Alyx with a line " Gotcha' " I don't know if this is scripted or what but it cracked me up

The game is just so easy Razz

Just think: you want to go to the other side. But the water is electrified so you have to jump around. But then again you can't because the nearest place isn't reachable because the bridge sanks. And so...?

I'm Stuck at chapter one on the train when there is the incident. I'm able to free Alyx but then the gravity gun does not kill the monster.

You don't need to kill the monster. Near where you rescued Alyx, there is a lid you can tear off with the gravity gun. Just take it out, and jump in.
